Ohh the Sil club liveth!! That's wonderful.
I don't think Varda has been around for a long time so it looks like you'll have to be active non-members, but what does it matter if we can keep a conversation going :P

my favourite part is the story of Túrin Turambar I'd say. I absolutely luuv it. But I also love most other parts of the Sil like Tuor's and Earendil's story, the Lay of Leithan or the Ainulindale

haha.. yeah I know many people find it boring, but I don't find it boring at all. In fact I think it takes a lot of imagination to imagine what the Ainulindale might've been like and also it gives the Sil and also LotR more depth I think.

There's not that many members considering this is a LOTR forum.

The Sil was such an awesome book. I loved it so. My favorite story would have to be OF TURIN. Tragic yet sad it was a perfect work.

Everyone else can go through their Legolas obsession, we'll just start a Maedhros one. :vampire:

I LOVE Maedhros. The shmexiest elf ever, because he is so dark and angsty.

Of course, Beleg isn't exactly undesirable :P.

I don't know if I could choose between the two.

He is pretty frickin' sweet, isn't he? I'm glad other people like him. All the other people I've talked to who've read the Silmarillion didn't really care for him all that much.

I've always considered Maedhros to be really cool. But....I still think that Finrod is way cooler. They both have tragic stories, but at least Finrod stayed true to his friends and his race...Maedhros being involved in the Kinslayings and all....

Finrod is much cooler. :D

I don't know how people could not like Maedhros. :P He's so fiery and unique. Hehehehe. Finrod... naah. He's cool, but Maedhros is cooler. Maedhros just has the air of, "Alas, but I'm forced to be evil" about him.

Hmm... if you think Kit wouldn't mind, then I guess you could just go ahead and start it. *shrugs*
