I've looked for a lot of versions of this song and very few (save Pentatonix which apparently I can no longer FIND a good version of on youtube) are as good as this one.
I was listening to Leighton Meester that Nienor Níniel mentioned in another thread when I found this wonderful cover of Dreams by Leighton Meester and Dana Williams!

That IS a nice cover of that song Deumeawyn!
The Byrds do the best of this song and is immortalized in the Easy Rider movie soundtrack, but this version done by The Sadies with their road trip video through Zion National Park is pretty good!

The original to this song is Red (Remembrance for the Brave) by TEN, The cover is by Leah McHenry.
Honestly she does such a good job on this I have the cover song on my playlist and not the original. The original isn't bad... until you hear this cover and I just can't even listen to the original now because it doesn't sound "Right"

If a guitarist feels confident enough to take a crack at one of the signature songs by Jimi Hendrix, the result influences my opinion of said guitarist to a large degree.

Not exactly a cover song, but on the back cover of my “The Best Of Procol Harum” LP there is a comment about the song “Whisky Train”: “A drinking song originally conceived by Keith Reid as country and western until Robin Trower got hold of it.” I have plenty (to be exact, eight) of Robin Trowers’s later solo LPs, and he hardly ever let his guitar snarl again as he did on “Whisky Train”. Head banger territory.
I came across this great cover of Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain' by The Show Ponies. They really own it here!
