Mae-Govannen

Hello everyone! Seven months ago I made a topic post about me writing a Lord of the Rings fanfiction based on an original character who was the mortal granddaughter of Elrond and Celebrian (this OC's mother is not Arwen, she's Arwen's older sister/another OC). However, through the months of thinking, I've decided to make the fanfiction not only about one original character but two characters who are sisters. I've already decided their names and what their importance is in the story. (Their names are Hírilan and Mírhel, Hírilan is the eldest and Mírhel is the youngest.)

However, I've also decided to have these characters both have eventual love interests who are also original characters. One original love interest is a young man who is part of the Rohirrim and a distant cousin of Eowyn and Eomer through their father's side. This character, Anmód, will be shipped/paired with Mírhel. With Hírilan's character, however, I cannot determine whether to pair her with an Elf (Sindar or Silvan) or a Gondorian/Amrothian man... This is where I need help with and determine whether if she should be paired with an elf or man and what his name is... Yes, I have both backstories for either of these potential characters but I need to determine one so I can finally start writing.

I chose the Silvan Elf character because I have never read any fanfiction with a pairing of a male Elf (whether if the culture was Sindar, Silvan, or even Noldor) and a mortal woman before! I think that would be very unique in a story! It could be almost like Andreth and Aegnor (except less tragic hopefully).

Anyway, I can't wait to read it soon!

Huh... I never really thought of that - the Andreth and Aegnor bit - and it’s true, most fanfictions out there are mostly about an original!elf maiden and some other canon character (like Legolas)... I have to think about it, and thanks for voting! I’ll message you when I post my first chapter!
