A few months ago I got my first poem published in a poetry anthology book. It's a pretty good poem that I really like, and I thought, hey, why not share it here:
The Ways of Men
The scarlet liquid of life and death
Falls from thy dirtied blade
Fight thou now in this gruesome war
The war that thee hast made
Surrounded thou art by thy enemy
Enclosed by a living wall
Wary thou must be at all times
Careful, now! lest thou fall
Thou hast slain many a good man
Thou hast gained their ire
Can thee blame their anger, their hatred
That burns as a mad fire?
And see! thy downfall came soon
Once thou hast paused.
Dost thou now regret this tragedy
That thee hast caused?
So, dost thou repent thy sinful deeds
Dost thou regret thy lies?
So we hope as thou see thy death
Fall down upon thine eyes.
Any comments/critique much appreciated!

Remember what I told a while back about Poetry.com
It's a huge scam!

Hey, I still got published by them. I just didn't buy the book XD No money wasted, so I am content with that.
And I love writing, so I don't plan to stop.
Indeed, here's another poem that is mine. I have dozens... hmm, I can just post one here and there ^^
Elements of Insanity
By Ainu Laire
4/25/05
Darkness.
It drowns your mind.
Its dark tendrils weaving
Throughout all your
Thoughts.
Fear.
It burns your heart.
Its choking grip
Never letting you
Escape.
Sorrow.
It tears your skin.
Its mournful words
Are breaking you
Down.
Pain.
It covers your body.
It leaves you cold and
Lying naked in the
Dark.
Death.
It eats your soul.
Its lying whispers saying
That you are to
Blame.
I blame angsty fan fic for that XDD
