We've had a suggestion from Kémi Palúrien for an official thread so that all members can post any need for translations on the forum.
If you need something translated into elvish or any Tolkien language, just post and I'm sure members will try to help with translating. Enjoy and have fun!
Don't forget your please and thankyou's!

Okay ... Once for all I wanna make it clear to myself: is "thank you" in Quenya Hanta lë, Hantalë, Hantayel, Hantalyë or anything completely else? Because I know there are 2 forms (informal and formal), but all the versions make you so confused ...
Hannon le, if you can explain me! (yeah ... at least there´s only one in Sindarin)

Okay.
"Thank you" in Quenya...
"to thank" is hanta- and you need the ending -nyë for "I".
"you" is a pronoun and it must be lë.
So in the end "(I) thank you" is Hantanyë lë.
*edit*
Erm, this was only the term Aorist. You use this for example when you are thankful to someone forever... If you thank someone because he safed you of death or so.
But if you only want to thank someone because he made you a delicious cake, you don't use Aorist, you need Simple Present.
This is hanta- + -ea- + nyë: "I thank you (now)" Hanteanyë lë
Or if even you thank someone you say Enyë hanta lë or Enyë hantea lë.
I hope I could help you

Instead of enyë, "I" is inyë, though that technically is emphatic and means something more like "I, too," as you noted. Ni is "I". As for lë, short words like lë, më, të don't keep the diaeresis on the e.
So, there would be many possible ways: Hantëanyel, Ni hantëa le, hantëanyë le, etc. Hantalë is rather a verbal noun meaning "giving of thanks".

Honorable Tolkien fans, I have been studying my books of Middle Earth with all their appendixes in search for a suiteable name - a name for a boat.
Since taking up kayaking as a hobby 2 years ago, I have always wanted to give my boat a name. And after reading Tolkiens stories numerous times over 22 years I am convinced that my kayak is somewhat related to the Elvish boats used by the Fellowship - hence the kayak should be given a female name in the Elvish language - not least as they were given by the lady Galadriel....
So, I'll keep my own little ideas for myself as for now, and hope for Your help with suggestions of a name, its meaning in English (or Norwegian if You are into that and a suitable Elvish font for it.
The final choice will be proudly displayed at the sides of the bow.
Bear in mind that this is an agile vessel of the high seas, derived from centuries of eskimo experience, as for now handcrafted with skill in England. Born for the playful use in currents and waves, giving joy in soul and heart - thus the name shold reflect this.
I am asking a lot, but neither Hobbits or their friends are known to let down a challenge or what?

Okay, I'll try in Quenya
@Ola
I don't think in Lothlórien they'd give Quenya-names to their boats... They'd use Sindarin or Nandorin. I'm not good in these, sorry
@I_belong_in_Middle_Earth
Sorry again - I can't translate names
@Elf Girl
>>Even the smallest person can change the course of the future.
Sië i erdë antitta lerta ahya i tië ho i polë nauva.
But I'm not sure with the translation of "future" and "even".
@Galasriniel
'I'm lost without you'
Ni vanwa ú le.
I hope I could help you.
