Shigure, still looking for the coffee, said to Jones, "Better safe than sorry, ain't it?"

Eariel followed Enyalie into the room. When the other girl looked around and saw her, Eariel hugged her sister hello. "I'm glad to see you!" she said.
Noticing her cousin Galas, she waved. Despite the fact that Eariel's husband had once been that of Galas, she wanted to be on friendly terms with her. For precisely that reason (she didn't want to scare her cousin away ), she had come without Frodo this time. *sigh*
"How are you, Gwen?" she asked her stepdaughter. "I wanted to congratulate you and Elegost. Where is my favorite nephew, by the way?" (Since I believe Enyalie is the only one of my sisters who has children, that would also make him my only nephew. But he's still my favorite. Btw, if you want, we could say that I was at the wedding, even though I didn't physically--er, virtually --make it. After all, my hubby was mentioned several times, and how could he have been there without me? )
"I'd also like to congratulate you, Luthien and Faz," she continued. "Oh! I brought your wedding gifts with me." Having just remembered, she reached into her bag. For the younger couple, there was a white gem that shone like a star. For Gwen and Elegost, however, Eariel drew out a silver figurine shaped like two swans, one's head laid across the other's neck. She smiled, thinking of a pair of similar birds atop her and Frodo's mantlepiece at home.

"Here, coffee coffee, here!" Shigure was still in search of the coffee, and head poked up at the word juice, "Where is that again, hmmm..." and he set off looking for two drinks now.

LDM snapped awake at the mention of cake. "Oh yes, the cake. I remember making that. I have mad talents, you see."

She caught everyone else's stare and was forcibly reminded of her burnt brownies/cookies. "Jesting..." She helped herself to a piece and reached for the coffee, which was currently residing under the table. "Hmm, I wonder how it got there...."
