I specially created this thread for those who actually fully [[or somewhat]] know enough Sindarin to be able to actually practice by having normal conversations. And so they can do that here! The purpose is to actually learn new things, new words and such from other members, and correct each other politely when we've made mistakes, ordered the words incorrectly or such.
The reason why I didn't merge Sindarin into the same thread as all the other languages is that I find that I - and most other people I have spoken to - find it very confusing and difficult to have a conversation in Sindarin with a whole bunch of other Elven languages going on around them. It confuses everyone and I thought it way easier and effective to actually make conversation threads for each one of the languages that people want to speak.
Now, we all know there is an Elvish-speaking Club already, but that club contains five different languages being spoken at once, and from what I have seen of that thread, nobody has spoken in any form of Elvish throughout their five pages of conversation, which really makes me wonder.
Anyway, I have made the exact same thread with the exact same message for those who would like to speak Quenya instead of Sindarin, and hopefully people will understand what I mean [[the above]]. Of course those who would like to learn both can go ahead and talk in both threads .
Mind you, there has to be some Sindarin in every post you make, in order to get our Elvish working.

Erm ... I guess I should begin with a phrase for the next person... Mind you I'm not very good yet [[which is why I need this thread myself too =D]]
Mae govannen, elvellon. Maer sen naw...? [[err ... its supposed to mean: Hello, my friend! Is this idea good?]]

*gears up* Mae, estel nin sa ped- "speak."
Elleth revia a linna nu elenath. Thinna, a annon edra. Telithach na Dhun? (Well it is my hope that ped- means "speak." *my fanciful ramblings* An Elf-maiden wanders and sings beneath the stars. It grows toward evening, and the gate opens. Will you come to the West?) Incidentally, I'm not sure if "sa" is valid for "that" in Sindarin. I may have to mix in Quenya words, sometimes.

The only Sindarin I know is Mae govannen, otherwise I would join you. I tried learning more, but I don't understand the mutations chart thingy. It confuses me
so...
Mae govannen!
btw: if anyone feels like helping me learn more Sindarin I'd really appreciate it! Just pm me or something. If not, it doesn't matter.
