Aye, that seems rather extreme to me  , unless some of these guesses are correct (at the Turkish prison when the crows are pecking out the prisoners' eyes, on the Dutchman when Wyvern tries to move, and his brain gets exposed, and the shots of the men whose faces have been sucked off by the Kracken; am I anywhere close?), and you're way younger than thirteen (though I highly doubt that, since you're a member of this forum) and are somewhat prone to horrible nightmares about stuff like those things I mentioned above. Otherwise, and if age & susceptibility to nightmares aren't really an issue for you, I don't understand your mom's decision at all  !
Hopefully, your mom will change her mind . Good luck  !

sure those things are a bit gross but their pretty tame compared to some of the LotR stuff....if your mom lets you watch those then i see nothing wrong with DMC...

my dad was the same way about harry potter...we werent allowed to watch it. but i guess this is different because my dad doesnt mind hp anymore. hopefully your mom will back down a little bit. did she tell you exactly wy you werent allowed to watch it?

he thinks harry potter goes against our Christian beliefs....naw i dont think so. actually there is some symbolism in that movie. i wont go into since this is a potc fan club and not a hp or religious forum...  _________________

I've heard about that controversy on the Harry Potter vs. Christian religion. I have my opinions, but I won't share them.

it actually would bean interesting topic to discuss, but obviously not here. anyways, i think it really stinks that you cant ever see it again. i really dont get it. have you tried talking to your mom? i hope she isnt stannding firm on her decision. im really sorry to hear that, though. hope all goes well for you. like everyone else said, i'd die if that happened to me.
