I'm pretty sure she meant Jack....
I think that when PotC II comes out on DVD, I'm always going to skip the scene where Will gets whipped... I can hardly stand to watch it...

See, I actually loved that scene...in an emotional, morbid kind of way. For some reason, I always like the tragic scenes the most (like the Ride of the Rohirrim). Wrote a fic about it, too...

the bit with Will being whipped is so sad, my very inconsiderate and annoying friend said this and i quote "What was with the whole Will being whipped thing? That was really stupid, who ever thought of that has peas for brains. It wasn't furthering the plot and when Bootstrap started crying or whatever, it was so lame. The only reason they put it in was to please the fan girls."

^^ To interject my opinion, that whipping scene was some of the best acting I've ever seen Orlando do (even if I didn't like the scene much)... indeed, there were a lot of scenes in II that really made me think "wow, he's growing up... and becoming an amazing actor."
