He really creeped me out in that movie. I rather liked him as Ed....so innocent. Hehe, obviously everyone thinks he's magically delicious as Jack, though.
Yeah, his character was odd, and a tinge freakish... but fascinating nonetheless. That be Burton's fault though.

The only films I've seen him in were:
What eats Gilbert Grape
Chocolat
Sleepy Hollow
Some film about Jack the Ripper, I forgot the title...
And, of course, PotC
So, well, I am a great fan of him, even if I haven't seen many films...

I'd say that's a good bit of his movies Lady Erana. Definitely enough to call yourself a big fan.
The movie about Jack the Ripper is called From Hell. Ian Holm was also in it, as Jack the Ripper in fact. *shudders* I have never seen it because I can't watch scary movies. I won't sleep for a week, maybe two if I do.
I really want to see Chocolat! Is it good? Anybody ahve a review for me?

Oh yeah Chocolate's great Johnny doesn't have such a big part in it but he's still cool in it. And he has an Irish accent
The story's about a woman and her daughter who come to a small French town and set up a chocolate shop. But the mayor and others in the town don't like this because it's the start of lent. Johnny is part of a group of travellers who are also hated by the town people. In time they both manage to change things.

I liked your review Elanor. Now I want to see it even more. It is the weekend. Even though I should probably get my American History prject done, maybe I'll rent Chocolat instead. I'm sure any movei with Johnny in it is great, and even if it isn't, I can always have fun admiring him. That's why it's always safe to go see a Johnny Depp movie. 1. Because he's an amazing actor who can make any movie a good movie. 2. Even if the plot of the movie is bad or there's something about it you don't like, you can spend your time observing Johnny. Most of the time it's both! and either way, you win!

I'm very sorry to double post, but I thought this thread could use a bump. No one's posted here for ages! *tsk tsk*
Actually, it's funny that my last posts were talking about Chocolat because that's the movie that I'm going to make my post about!
I saw it! Finally! And I loved it. It was so good. I was actually wacthing it at a friend's on Friday night, but I had to leave before we could finish it. So I made my mother rent it for me the next day. How could I not finish it? It was really good. I loved the story line, the actors were brilliant, everything was just lovely. Johnny as Roux with an Irish accent definitely equals major swooning. And when he was playing his guitar.... *double swoon*
AND
Sleep Hollow was on TV over Christmas Break and I got to watch a good bit of that, which I also liked. I was a little confused at first, since I jumped in halfway through, but it got better. It had that great Tim Burton edge to it, and Johnny was brilliantly eccentric and wonderful as Ichabod Crane.
So.. anyone else who has seen these have any opinions they want to share? Or any other Johnny related things they want to talk about?

I'm sure it's fine if you join, but no one ever posts here anymore. I tried reviving the thread awhile ago (see above), but I gave up on that eventually. It's rather sad really. Maybe thngs will pick up now that you've decided to join. And I'd be more than happy to post here to talk about Johnny with you, even if we're the only two here.

I'm sorry Tar. I didn't mean to leave you out so to speak. I didn;t know if you were planning on staying to join in the Johnny-ness. But three is better than two. And a revival of the thread is better than three. I hope we can.
So.. Johnny related topics anyone?

I am actually still around Even if I'm lazy and don't post on this group much. In week though I'm going to be away for the next 2 months. All new people are very welcome to join while I'm away.
Oh and talking about PotC 3 how cool were all the Jacks in it?? It wasn't just Jack there were lots of him .. including 2 little ones at each ear
Oh and I completly loved his entrace on the ship carried by crabs. Like his entrance in the first film but even cooler if possible.
And yeah the first bit of the film without Jack was too long

Oh goodie. The club is going again! *dances*
That was funny how the first part of the movie was completely Johnny-less and then it was like WHAM. Johnnys as far as the eye could see (some of them shirtless, which I found quite enjoyable). I agree thoguh that I would have liked to have seen him more in the first part. The scene with the multiple Jacks was hilarious. The one who was in love with a goat... And I loved the scene with the "rock" as well. I laughed so hard when he licked it. I found the two little Jacks to get a bit annoying after awhile, but they were funny sometimes. And how about the Jack
on the Flying Dutchman? He was funny too, and he did look like Johnny.
And as for them makign a fourth one, I was opposed to the idea at first, but now I really think they should make one. And quite frankly, I'd go see any movie that Johnny Depp was in because he makes any movie he's in good. And if all else fails, you can at least have fun staring at his hotness.
