^I believe they cut him out completely.

When it DOES happen, I will be called "Da New Nostradamus" and will live out the rest of my days happy and rich.

I sure do hope they show Orik. For me as a Dwarf-hater, Orik is not actually quite bad. But I havent seen any sign of him at all in the trailers..

I don't think he is in the movie at all.
I, personally don't care. I didn't really like him that much.

I'm positive I read something about his being cut from the movie...*browses Shur'tugal*
Eh, never mind, I can't find it. Orik isn't on the cast list anywhere, though, so I think it's safe to assume he's not in the movie.

Orik isn't in the movie. That's plainly said in the making of the movie book.

That's sad... as a general rule I don't like dwarves, but he was OK...

Actually, considering the way CP writes, I can totally see that happening! Alassë wrote: Eragon's hair is a completely different colour in the books though! Yeah I kind of prefer Murtagh (even if he does look a little emo ) Finally someone else agrees that Murtagh looks emo! I personally have no opinion as to whether Eragon or Murtagh look better... I don't think about the way guys look. timtimtimtim wrote: Anakin pouts a lot... protagonists have hard lives *cough*
I agree with both. Anakin is insanely pouty, and protagonists have very hard lives.
Ugh... I need to look at Shur'tugal again, haven't yet today because I've been working...

Ha! That made me smile. Emo Murtagh!
Actually, thats what I thought of too when I first saw a picture of him. Pale skin, dark hair...

Yes....in fact I do. (oops, was this not directed to me>) just kidding.
12 Days!
I think something i don't like about Murtagh is how he's so terribly cliche! I mean, kid who's all evil leaves his destined dark side to aid the world's savior only to be doubted by pretty much eveyrone except the world's saviors, they become pals and all, but we know he's gonna die at the end. xD (being emo and having a scar adds to all the mary-sueness of his character)
tho, males aren't reffered to as amry-sues are they?
I still like Murtagh, but Brom rules!! :]

Aaauuugh, I like the story! It might be cliche but I still like it! *covers eyes to avoid the spoiling of her love*
Oh well, we all have our pet peeves. Anyway, about the movie- thirteen days! (Or something? I'm bad at math.)

Twelve By my count, anyway. I'm notorious for liking cliches, so I'm still excited for it.

I like some cliches, but not others...
Last night I visited the official Eragon site (which slowed down my internet A LOT because of all their fancy animations) and found a picture of Arya in her black armor, which I'm assuming she wears during the end battle... at least that stuff, if slightly ugly, is modest.

Well, LotR had a very good reason. How are you going to pack a huge saga like that into three movies that are already very long without cutting some things? I think LotR stayed very true to the book whenever possible. I mean, granted, Legolas didn't have to be blonde (he has black hair in the book) but I think that's a fact know only by the obsessed. I think LotR did an amazing job - whereas Eragon, I'm not so sure. Arya could have stayed dark-haired no problem, and could have had proper clothing no problem. The way I see it, LotR made necessary changes, and unfortunately, Eragon is making unnecessary changes.

^I agree mostly with that, Melda. There are a few changes in LotR that I don't think were at all neccesary, but most of it was alright, and some of the changes even I feel are an improvement on the books.
Anyway, to stay on topic...
Am I the only one who thinks it's funny that they're doing a Eragon bike on American Chopper?
