Alas, alas. I hope I'm not the only one to notice, but there are far too many Ringers leaving the realm of Ringerism. :confuzzled:

Today, I'd like to challenge you. Are you still true? Will you stay true?

i would definately say i will stay loyal. i really can't see myself in 20 years saying "you know what? this whole LotR thing is really not worth my time." at least...i would be very surprised if that ever happened to me. but yeah, i wouldn't say that i'm totally obsessed, that all i ever think about is LotR, LotR and more LotR.

If we're talking about loyalty, I thnk I'll always be loyal. Just how I express it, or how much or a desire I feel to openly express it will probably change.

While we're talking about ringers departing... I think it's a bit like a test, to see who are passionate, and whole are jumping on the bandwagon. Though I do understand that there is a limit to how many times you can argue over your favourite scene, (something I've sometimes felt myself) I'm happy to see LOTR banners and names about the place. It's one thing to grow tired of LOTR, and another to grow tired of middle earth... I definately cannot see the latter happening! :-D

I can see growing tired of a forum. People tend to post the same things over...and over...and over. I can even see getting tired of the LotR net all together. I said that I'm a strong ringer now, but who knows about my future. It's not for me to tell.

Kudos to Kitoky for the fabulous signature set, and art credit to engelszorn.
Who wants to join me in bringing back the lady?

I have been a ringer for as long as I can remember and I don't see an end to that anywhere in the near future! I was a little more obsessive for the past few years than before. The movies did that to me. Now I am slowing down to where I was before but I could never stop loving LotR. Maybe I could get sock of the movies, but never will I stop loving LotR or ME! :)

:bye2:

I have loved Middle Earth and LotR, for 33 yrs!
I am your future!

And I´m still here..... :)

Hope this doesn´t scare any of you away...but in the beginning, I only had the books. :)
....the movies gave apprehensive, but renewed interest.
I was really nervous...what if the movies didn´t live up to the images in my mind? :confused2:

Thank-you PJ for Viggo & Orlando!!!!

The scary thing is I dont remember what I was like without LotR? And if i didnt have it I dont know what I would be doing now, I also believe LotR has helped me in life with friends, family, and other important issues... I don't know what I would do without it

I know what you are talking about....
..but for me there has been a life before LotR...
...but I do enjoy reading the books...at least once every 2 years..
...there´s always something new, a twist you didn´t notice before
....a change in your life can often be found, mirrored in the books.
f.ex. I never truly thought about Gandalf´s wise words to Frodo, in Khâzad Dûm, before there was a death in my family...it hit my heart, hard!
Never regretted reading LotR, in school...my english teacher has received many warm thoughts over the years....
I´m rambling.......I´ll shut up now

A DUNADAN AGAIN....YAY!

It's good to see people who are intending to stay loyal. :)

After the LotR craze in the 60's, I'm sure many of the fans felt a bit like we do now...

Exactly. And I hope we'll all do out part to keep the love alive by passing it on to the next generation, like my parents did to me. 8)

What I hate is whenever my parents or some other people are all like 'Oh, you'll grow out of soon.' I keep telling them I never will but eh, they don't believe me. But yes, I don't see an end to my 'loyalty.' I mean, sooner or later I know that in the future we all might grow tired of LotR online, but still, even if I do I will always remember LotR, and keep it with me. So no, I will never leave 'ringerism' :)
