Eep, I really hope they won't make Eldest! It's an even larger book, which means it'll be harder to cram into a movie, which means it'll probably be even more distorted than the first...

The movie was less than two hours long! SURELY there was room for Katrina somewhere?! Maybe in the extended edition...if there is one...

I think Katrina is very, very pretty. Prettier than Arya. but she is in the movie, is she not? I havent seen it yet...

No, Katrina isn't in the movie. Grrrrr. Melda's right, they should've had room for her. And it would've made Roran's character more...I don't know, part of the plot. He just kind of leaves in the movie...

^^Exactly. I was mad about there being no Katrina. How are they going to make it tie into Eldest now? Along with the kid Eragon blesses, and us actually caring about Murtagh when he 'dies'...and it's going to seem really weird when Arya effectively pushes Eragon away in Eldest, because she practically flirted with him in Eragon.

*Has a thought* Gasp! I wonder if they'll cut that kid altogether? I forget her name, I know Eragon blesses her...I wonder how important she is in Empire? I'd rather they cut her than try and fit her in in an Eldest movie. Hmm.

I just don't understand why they showed us promotional stills of Katrina and the twins and then didn't have either of them in the movie!

But the Twins are barely in Eldest, except to get 'taken captive' at the beginning, and then in the battle at the end, so I don't know if they'd be considered main enough to have stills taken of them

My hope is that those promos will be for secens that were deleted and then put back for the DVD...ohterwise I just don't understand it. I have no idea how they expect to do Eldest. You've got Roran gone indefinetly, no Katrina, so the whole Carvahall aspect is gone. Then you have Arya refusing Eragon, where I agree with you completely Meldawen. And Murtagh..he 'dies', and we're supposed to care? It won't happen they way the did it.

I just read on Wikipedia that Ian McKellen was offered the role as Brom and Elijah Wood was considered for the part of Eragon. I'm torn--if I based my conclusion on the reviews I've read, I'd think it'd be even *more* of a TLotR clone. If I'd based it off my adoration of their mad acting skills, Eragon would be great! Ah, well...
