Which movie sound tracks do you have? Which movie sound tracks have you heard before (perhaps you borrowed them from a friend)? Which movie sound track that you have heard or have is your favorite so far? Which one(s) would you recommend? Which ones aren't worth bothering with? Which song on each movie sound track that you have heard or have is your favorite? (looks up at the allready very long post) Uh, in short talk all about movie sound tracks and anything to do with them.
Personaly, I have the Elizabethtown volume 1 and 2 movie sound tracks and the Happy Feet sound track. They are also the only movie sound tracks that I have heard before. I totally recommend the Happy Feet sound track, especialy for those who like pop and retro stlye music. Another good thing about the Happy Feet sound track is that it actually has the movie's actors and actresses singing the songs that they did in the movie.
Um, the Elizabethtown volume two is also one that I would recommend. However keep in mind that it has quite a few songs that have more of a 60ish kind of style to it. (I know that it sounds weird that I would even know what 60s music sounds like, but one of my grandmother's live me...).
The Elizabethtown volume 1 is a good cd. However I would go with volume two and see if I liked it before buying volume one.
Happy Feet is probabley my favorite movie sound track so far and my favorite song on it is probabley "Boogie Wonderland". Then my favorite song on Elizabethtown volume two is either "Learning To Fly" or "Can't Get Next To You". Um, on Elizabethtown the movie sound track volume one I like "Come Pick me Up".
Well, what all do you have to say all about movie sound tracks?
p.s. I hope that we don't allready have thread like this.

i have all three lotr, titanic, romeo and juliet (both volumes), chicago, phantom of the opera, moulin rouge and a collection of disney songs.
i love all of them, but romeo and juliet volume 1 is the one i listen to most. 'to you i bestow' is the best song on there, although i have no idea whereabouts in the film it's played.
i also really want the soundtracks for shrek 1 & 2, garden state, elizabethtown and forrest gump - those films have some fantastic songs.
and it's really not weird that you know what 60s music sounds like - most of my favourite music is from the 60s, and i know loads of other young people who like it too. the 60s was THE decade for good music.

^Thanks for not thinking that I'm weird. I'm into some of the uh..older genres even though I'm only a teenager. I'm glad that I have found a fellow fan.
What is your favorite song on the Moulin Rouge sound track? I'm asking about that one because I probabley know it's music best out of the ones that you named that you had and I also happen to be fan of that movie's music.

^ yeah, it is always nice to meet a fellow fan. i grew up listening to my parents music, so i've always been into retro stuff. 60s is the best, but there's some great stuff from the 70s too.
thinking of 70s music reminds me - i also want the billy elliot film soundtrack. i can't believe i forgot that one last time. it's possibly one of the best soundtracks ever - the clash + the jam + the style council + t-rex = amazing!
el tango de roxanne is definitely my favourite on the moulin rouge soundtrack - wonderfully dramatic, it sets my heart racing every time. one of my dreams is to one day dance the argentine tango to it. i also love complainte de la butte - really beautiful, simple piano music. plus, the name makes me laugh!
how about you?

Indeed. That's really how I am into alot of the music that I am into as well. Through my parents and grandparents and movies and so forth.
Sweet! Oh, yes, I love it's music. The Moulin Rouge music is so romantic and passionate. (shudder) Wonderful.
Well, I'm not sure if it's on the sound track, however I remeber them singing bits and peices of Love Lifts us up and I love that one. Then I really liked their "secret love song" (not sure of what that song's name was). (shrugs)

the "bits and pieces" one is 'elephant love medley', and yes it's on the soundtrack; and the "secret love song" is 'come what may'. i normally hate medleys, but i actually really love the moulin rouge one - me and me friend used to sing it at college. much to the bemusement of others. i have a freakishly low singning voice for a girl, so i took christian's part. i think i was still too low though!
the choice of songs for moulin rouge was inspired - any film that can find a way of putting nirvana into the middle of 'diamonds are a girl's best friend' is fine by me!
on a slightly different note, have you ever noticed that every single film that's set in the 60s seems to use the song 'all along the watchtower' at some point in it's soundtrack? it's like that song has become synonymous with the decade. they always uses the hendrix version though, never the original dylan version.

^Ah, yes those are indeed the songs names. Thank you for your help with the names.
That's really cool. Did you sing along with the soundtrack or just wing it?
I have a bit of an oddly high singing voice though I have taught myself to hit the very low notes. I love to sing along to Happy Feet's Boogie Wonder Land and Somebody to Love. I also kind of freak people out with it. lol
Yes...isn't that odd? I never have quite understood why they picked that song. Yet there it is (in most cases) none the less.

Soundtracks I own? All three LotR of course, DMC, and Phantom of the Opera two disc.
Soundtracks I've heard/have on my computer? A LOT. My siblings and I trade around CDs and copy them to our computers, and my older sister is a soundtrack nut who has a higher income than me (she's 20).
All three LotR (again)
CotBP
DMC (again)
Phantom
Hidalgo
Ladyhawke
Princess Bride
Seabiscuit (haven't heard that much)
Narnia (don't have this on the computer...)
Pride and Prejudice (which is OMGoodness beautiful! *dies*)
Earthsea
All six SW (when my brother plays them)
Indiana Jones, Last Crusade and Holy Grail (once again, when my brother plays them; he likes what's-his-face, the dude who composed the Indy and SW music, though I don't much)
Highlander
Hmmm... that's all I can think of off the top of my head. I'll have to think about it more. But as a general rule, I LOVE soundtracks. They rock. 8)

There are a few more I've heard I forgot to add... Labyrinth (David Bowie! WOOT!!!) and The Never Ending Story. I like a lot of 80s music, obviously. It can be hilarious but also awesome. It's so dated! But still, like I said, I love music from the 80s.
