Well. My mom really doesn't care what I put on my walls as long as it's not 'inappropriate'. and she understands my obsession with lotr and frodo so the only real job i'll have is to put them all back up again.

It's sad how the world seems to forget so quickly something that we Ringers will hold in our hearts forever. After just a few years, lotr is 'old news'. Well, at least we have eachother. While it's wonderful to be a Ringer at a time when everyone's talking about it, I believe that there will always be those who won't forget when the years grow long. lol anyway...

Do you like my new banners? I'm very proud of them, especially the top one. (The lyrics on the top one are from "Give unto Me" and those on the lower one are from "Even in Death." Both of those are older Evsongs, but you can hear them if you search on youtube, and I recommend that you do--i like them both very much.) Lol just had to 'show off' my new siggy...

Those are beautiful Eariel. it's so fun to make graphics, even when you don't have the software to do some of the other things people can do with them. And especially Frodo graphics. You find some of the best pictures that way. Very pretty.

It IS so sad that LOTR seems to have been forgotten. Like you said, there are those of us for whom it is immortal, but there are also people who just went to see the movies when they came out and then forgot about it. There are even some people, and I completely don't understand them at all, who don't like LOTR. I do wish they had more LOTR stuff out. I can always love it though, even if everybody else forgets about it. That's kind of comforting to think.

Actually, something else I can't understand at all is that even people who are Ringers don't like Frodo. It confuses me. How can you not like Frodo? They make up stupid reasons like, "He's too whiny." or something. I...... just don't get it. Thank goodness we have smart people here who realize how amazing Frodo is.

I agree! I will never be able to forget lotr as long as I live. Even if I become less obsessed with it as I grow older, it will always be a part of me in some way
And I have no clue how someone couldnt like Frodo! I was talking to a guy in my class today about lotr and he said that he hated Frodo. I was like whats wrong with you! I got sooo mad haha

Eariel I expecually love the one with Frodo looking down and the purplish background. I cant really read the words and stuff on your banners though.

Thanks, lol. (The words are: top one~"Give unto me your troubles/I'll endure your suffering/Place onto me your burden/I'll drink your deadly poison" and then in the middle "(Save you)/I'll save you' and also "Let it be the sun in your world of darkness". I thought the song Give unto Me sounded a lot like Sam speaking to Frodo. Anyway, lower one: "Give me a reason to believe that you're gone/I see your shadow so I know they're all wrong" and in the middle "my love". Even in Death fits well with how I feel about Frodo.) Yeah, i know they're not totally readable... Sometimes that was almost part of the point, tho. I suppose it would be easier if you already knew the words to the songs they're from. And I agree, it is neat to make banners even with limited technology (tho ultimate paint, or upaint--not normal paint, by the way--which is what i use does have quite a lot to play with). The limitations i feel worst are not being able to gradually blend one pic into another, and not being able (so far, at least) to cut out something other than a square-shaped part of a pic to put in the banner.
Anyway, i know, it's strange how people misunderstand Frodo. What kind of ticks me off is that sometimes they seem to admire Sam, but like you said...Frodo's 'whiny'. *excuse me a minute* There! Now, where were we? Anyways, it's good to have other people who love Frodo as much as I or any of us does! *huggles friends in Frodo club*

Awww yaaaay! *hugs TT* I know. Everybody I know either doesnt like him, or thinks hes ugly Shame on them all!!!

By the way TT in paint if you select the star tool you can cut around pictures. You have to do it all at once though. Like trace around what you want. Then you can cut it and put it onto another thing that you want. But make sure you select the rectangle again, and at the bottom where it has the shapes highlighted choose the second one, then you can place the image you copied onto another image. Hopefully that makes sense...if not i'll try to explain better

Thanks...I'm not sure if my graphics program has that, tho. Unfortunately, our paint program isn't working right now (as far as i know), so i don't even have the option of doing that in paint and then cutting and pasting it. Tho i might be able to do that in a different program we have...if we still have it...anyway, back to Frodo.

Unfortunately i have to go soon, but I can show you a new Frobanner I made just now. (Don't worry, Forever--i could never rival you. ) I've been playing around with some new ways to get the edges to blend in... The lyrics on this one are from Whisper, so you'll probably be able to tell what they are.

Aw, thankies! (You can use it in your siggy if you want. ) Well, i suppose you need a reasonably good graphics program to start with, and a bit of an understanding of how it works. Other than that, your creativity is the only limit. I can tell you more about my program, if you want to look into getting it. Just a thought, if that'd be helpful.

If I EVER here anyone say that, I'm going to hope that somday THEY have to carry the weight of the world on their shoulders, and THEY have to bear the object of doom around their neck, and THEY are being tormented and taken over by said object, and THEY have to take a perilous trek across the country... to what they think to be the end of their life. And then see if THEY are bouncy and happy-go-lucky during it!

I mean gosh. Some people.

I'm not a crazy Frodo fanatic like some of you, but I think Frodo, of ALL the LotR characters, deserves our highest respect and regard! I mean after all he is the hero!

By the way, I'm writing an essay for school, based on the topic of forgiveness, and I'm using examples all from LotR Movies. One of my favorite examples is how Frodo forgave Bilbo when he tryed to take the Ring... because Frodo understood, vaguely, what was happening to Bilbo. It wasn't the "beeen there, done that" kind of forgiveness... but the "going there, about to do that" kind.
