hm... I want to be sneaked into computer room too!

It's great so far! And I notice Crymson has a tendancy to fall asleep fast...

I'm finally posting the next part! yay!! i change a little bit from the last post, so i'm starting this post from where Caradie asked Crymson to tell her where Dawnfire was:

Crymson told her where Dawnfire was hiding and then relayed the message to Dawnfire who seemed glad with the plan. Crymson walked off to the room Caradie pointed out to her and Crymson walked into the room. It was small with just a bed and a dresser, but it was good enough for a good nights sleep. Feeling full and content, Crymson changed into some pajamas and crawled into the bed. She thought she would fall asleep instantly but Crymson lay awake into late that night thinking about what had occurred that day and the days before. Finally when she did fall asleep she jolted awake from a dream, to find she had only been asleep for half an hour. Grumbling she fell back asleep, willing herself to get a good nights sleep.
Crymson rolled in and out of dreams that night. Mostly of the past couple of day’s events, but some were undistinguishable. One haunted her over and over.
A cold hand reached out and grabbed her from her peaceful slumber. She fought his grip but it was no use. The man had sunken eyes that looked like death; his hair was the deepest black. His skin was ghostly white. He snickered at her struggling and led her down a hall. The hall never seemed to end and his grip on her got stronger. Soon she began to gasp for air, her lungs constricting.
“Now, Crymson, you will do what I ask.” The man sneered.
“No.” She managed before falling into complete darkness.
Crymson woke up, the man seemed to tattoo himself on her eyelids so she tried no to close her eyes. Stretching she got out of the bed. Despite the nightmare, she had slept reasonably well. Crymson got dressed and pulled her long brown hair off her face and went to look for Caradie. She found her in the front store, helping a man who looked weather beaten. Caradie passed the man a plant and took his money, before she realized Crymson was standing there.
“Oh, your awake!” Caradie smiled. The man looked at her and inclined his head, before leaving the store. Caradie placed the money in a cash box and shut it. “Do you want some breakfast?” Caradie asked.
“Oh, no thanks, I’m not hungry at the moment.” Crymson said looking around at the shop, she hadn’t done that properly yet. Caradie nodded and picked up the metal money case.
“I need to take this to the bank, so I won’t be back till later.” Caradie said, taking the money case toward the front of the store, “There’s some money in the black jar on the shelf, feel free to go get some breakfast, or whatever.”
With that, Caradie left the shop in a hurry, not waiting for Crymson’s reply. ‘Well, that’s odd.’ Crymson thought looking around for the black jar.
‘What is?’ Dawnfire asked. Crymson jumped from surprise, she forgot Dawnfire could talk to her through her mind. She heard Dawnfire chuckle.
‘Nothing. Nothing at all.’ Crymson said quickly, she didn’t feel like sharing everything with the Dragon just yet.
‘Well, if you say so.’ Dawnfire said. Crymson knew he was unconvinced. Shrugging off the guilt, Crymson opened the black jar that Caradie had mentioned and took out some money. She went to the bathroom to freshen up before she started her day.
It was a cool morning when Crymson left the shop. She half-hoped that she would have remembered a jacket. She walked down the sidewalk, taking in the sights of the city. There was a bakery not far from Caradie’s shop and Crymson stopped in there to buy a bun. She looked longingly at all the pastries and finally chose a sticky bun. She paid the baker and left. The morning traffic was horrid, so Crymson decided to go back to the shop and explore. On her way back, she ate the sticky roll and tried to block out Dawnfire’s humming. She was unsuccessful and nearly cried out in frustration. Was she going to have to deal with Dawnfire’s presence in her mind forever?
She re-entered the Forlorn Dragon and started to browse the aisles. When she came upon a shelf full of books, Crymson stopped. There were a variety of books. Leather bound, paper back, just paper clipped together by paper clips, and hardback books. Crymson took a thick leather bound book off the shelf and stared at it. There was no title on the cover. Crymson sat down, leaning on the shelf and opened the book. The pages were yellowed slightly and some pages were missing. Crymson read a little bit and realized the book talked all about the creatures in Edenmar. She was instantly interested and started to read. Dawnfire interrupted now and then, adding facts about certain creatures that the book did not state. She was actually happy with Dawnfire at that moment, because her understanding of Edenmar was furthered.
It must have been hours that Crymson was reading. She didn’t stop until she heard the tinkling of bells warning her that someone entered the shop.
“Crymson?” She heard Caradie call out. Crymson jumped up and but the book back.
“Yes, I’m here!” Crymson called back walking back toward the counter. Caradie joined her after a few seconds.
“Sorry I took so long, I had some business I couldn’t get out of.” Caradie apologized.
“Oh, no don’t worry it’s fine, I was just looking around.”
“Good, I’m glad.” Caradie grinned, “You want some dinner.”
Crymson nodded, surprised about how late it had gotten. For the rest of the night, she thought about the book and couldn’t wait until tomorrow when she could read it again.

After talking to Caradie after dinner and going to her room where she would linger on all the creatures she learned about, Crymson finally fell asleep. For once since the past couple nights, Crymson was having a good peaceful dream but was woken by the sound of voices.
“Don’t play games with me! Mr.Itralia wishes to speak with the child!” A deep husky voice yelled from within the shop.
“Well, he can wait till morning!” Crymson heard Caradie hiss. Crymson crept silently from her room to hear what they were saying.
“Do you go against him then?”
“No. We made a deal and I am sticking to the terms. You may remind him of that. We agreed in the morning, once I get her to contact her Dragon.”
“Do not tell me what to do! Mr.Itralia wants her now and you had better do as he pleases. You made a trade for her and now you must honor that.”
“Crymson Elementwielder is not a trade item, do not speak of her like that.”
Crymson shrunk against a wall. Caradie was giving her to Mr.Itralia whoever that was. Silently Crymson crouched down and peered out in the room. She could see too shadows from an aisle.
‘Think, think.’ Crymson told herself. She did not want to be traded, nor go anywhere against her will. She decided if the man left, Crymson would leave once Caradie went back to bed. Crawling back to her room, Crymson tried to contact Dawnfire, only to find he was asleep. She strained her ears to listen and only relaxed when she heard,
“Fine, we’ll come back in the morning.” The man grunted and left the shop. Crymson heard Caradie walk past her room and didn’t move until she heard her door shut. Crymson looked at the clock beside her bed, it showed that it was 5:30 in the morning. Sliding out of bed, Crymson carefully dressed. She was lacing up her shoelaces when she realized something. She had heard the name Itralia before. She quickly searched her mind. The bank—more the Elhgmar Headquarters. Caradie was giving her to the Elhgmarian’s. That meant they knew she was alive and in London. She had to get out of there fast, before they discovered Dawnfire—if they hadn’t already.
Crymson crept out of the room and toward the entrance of the Forlorn Dragon. She made sure there was no one around before stepping out into the dark morning. No one was up yet; only a few cars were out driving. Her stomach was clenched and her whole body was alert as she started to jog down the street. Crymson’s feet pounded noisily on the concrete and she flinched with each step. Then her greatest fear was awakened just as she turned the corner to go down another block.
“HEY! STOP!” called the man that was in the Forlorn Dragon. Crymson spun around and saw him running toward her, a couple other men were with him. Crying out in surprise and fear she took off down the street.
‘Dawnfire! Wake up!!’ Crymson screamed inwardly. Her heart was pounding as she flew past houses. She could hear the shouts of the men as they neared the street she was on. Sharply, Crymson turned down and alleyway, only to find it was a dead end. Two tall buildings surrounded her, and there was no other escape route.
“She went down there.” The man cried. Crymson didn’t hesitate and started to climb the fire ladder that was dangling off one of the buildings. She hadn’t gone up two rungs when the men slid into the alleyway.
“No! Don’t let her get away!” Another man screamed. Crymson continued to climb; her heart was in her throat now. She reached the top and pulled herself onto the roof of the building. Groaning she ran a couple of yards. There was nowhere to go now. There was nowhere to hide. Crymson started to panic, looking frantically around for some kind of path she could take that would leave the danger behind.
“Rain.” She suddenly whispered, “RAIN!”
The sky boomed and black clouds rolled in and it began to pour. She heard her pursuers swear. She ran to the other side of the building just as the first man was pulling himself on to the roof.
“No where to run now.” He said, letting a husky laugh escape him. Crymson glared at him through the torrents of rain falling, “No one’s here to save you.”
‘Jump.’ Crymson grinned, as Dawnfire’s voice rang through her head.
“Unfortunately for you, you’re wrong.” Crymson called to the man. The man laughed a cold harsh laugh.
“I don’t see anyone.”
“Of course not.” Crymson sneered and through herself off the side of the building. She was falling; a rush of excitement and terror flooded her. What if Dawnfire didn’t save her? A couple seconds passed and then a mighty claw closed around her waist and she was lifted into the sky. Her pursuer cried out with frustration and yelled something to his partners. Crymson didn’t hear though, she was already flying away, safely in Dawnfire’s talons.

lol! I was grounded this past week so i got a lot done on the second chapter! yay! here is some of it! it's very rough and really bad, i don't really like how it turned out but, i don't want to keep you guys waiting, soo here:

Chapter 2:

Kithnoran Rochnar leaned against the cold and hard stonewalls of the mountain. He tossed a couple rocks of the edge, trying to strain his ears to see if he could hear it hit the bottom. A couple of seconds passed and he didn’t hear anything so he crawled into the small cave. A large griffin was curled up inside sleeping. Her head was tucked neatly between her front feet and her tail was wrapped around her back legs. Kith tried to silence his footsteps as he made his way to the small bedroll. It was frighteningly cold out, even though he was bundled up in several jackets, including a parka from a nearby town.
His eyes flittered closed and he fell into an uneasy sleep.
‘Kith! Don’t let them win! Don’t give him anything!’ A girl cried. She was being dragged away, her voice cracked as she sobbed but her eyes gleamed and shone with hatred and determination. Blood trickled down her face from a cut near her eyebrows. Ktih struggled against the invisible bonds holding him back. They did not give in. Finally he felt some looseness in the hold. He threw himself forward and staggered to Crymson. Kith tried to reach out and grab her but he was viciously thrown backwards.
‘I won’t Crymson, I won’t’ Kith muttered before a dark abyss overtook his consciousness.
Kith gasped and sputtered as he woke up. The griffin opened one eye and looked at him. Kith turned over away from her and muttered, “I don’t want to talk about it.”
The griffin let out a sigh of annoyance and closed her eyes and fell asleep again. Ktih on the other hand refused to fall asleep. The terror of the reoccurring dream haunted him both day and night.
“Crymson, I’m sorry.” He whispered. Kith brushed away a dark strand of hair from his eyes and sniffed. The dream had haunted him every night since his escape. And it has been almost three years. Ever since they had camped up on the mountain on the border of Canada and Greenland, Kith had never gotten a full night sleep. His skin was dry and his lips cracked. The temperature was almost unbearable. They had been there for 2 months, only venturing down to a local village to buy food and wood. It was a horrible way to survive, but they were going to continue their journey back to Edenmar within the week.
An hour later, Kith’s griffin, Kiowa stirred. Kith sat up and waited for her to wake.
‘Good morning.’ A sly voice said in Kith’s thoughts.
‘Cold… not good. Kiowa.’ Kith thought tiredly.
‘I know, I don’t see why you can’t make it warmer.’ Kiowa said.
“Oh, yes. I’ll change the weather and make it warm and then have the villagers asking about it!” Kith said out loud, “They will start to ask questions and it will begin with the lone traveler who is not staying in town.”
‘Just a thought,’ Kiowa coolly answered. Kith scowled, ‘We should leave for Edenmar this week.’ Kith thought back.
Kiowa open her eyes and squawked, ‘We would be there already if you hadn’t been so reckless and I hadn’t been wounded!’
“I know! All right! I messed up! I didn’t know the US border control would actually fire at us!” Kith snapped, “You’re healed now, that’s what counts.”
Kiowa opened and closed her beak with a sharp snap and turned away from him. As moody as she was, Kith couldn’t help but adore the griffin. They were partners in everything, Kith understood Kiowa more than anyone else and vice versa. Their friendship was deeper than most, and their loyalty never faltered.
“I’m sorry.” Kith mumbled; Kiowa turned and fixed him with a hard stare, as if analyzing him to see if he meant it. Ktih stared back, not blinking and with a straight face.
‘Fine.’ She finally said. Kith smiled and stretched. His body was cramped from the cold. He shivered and pulled out a sword. The blade was gleaming silver with an encryption running along it. The pummel was set with a golden stone.
Kith drove the weapon in a series of maneuvers, almost in a dance. His feet moved effortlessly and the blade twisted and jabbed with ease. Kith did his weapon exercises until the sun had risen over the tops of the mountains. To Kith’s despair, the sun did not warm the freezing temperature. Kiowa stood next to him and purred deep in her throat. Kith reached up and patted her neck.
“I’ll go to town and get what we need and we can leave tomorrow.” Kith said, before sheathing his sword and retreating back into the cave. Kiowa squawked in acknowledgement and shook her feathers to rid them of the falling snow.
Kith had packed a small backpack and was lacing up his boots, when the snow quit falling.
“For once…” he mumbled straightening up. He walked out to the ledge of the mountain to begin his journey down to the small town. Kith climbed onto Kiowa’s back and held tightly to her feathers as she bent and launched herself off the edge. The wind stung bitterly on his cheeks as Kiowa descended the mountain. Once her feet hit the ground Kith prepared for his departure. Kiowa came to a stop and Kith slid off her back.
‘I’ll be back by the end of the day, keep an eye out.’ Kith warned and strode down to the small town.

A chilly breeze blew through the snow-covered streets as Kith trudged to the small general market. Barely anyone was seen outdoors and even then, they were only out there to get something out of their buried cars or to run some quick errand. Kith ducked his head from onlookers and by passers, hoping that no one would notice his strange appearances and start asking questions. It was a risk that Kith had to take; coming to town, but Kiowa and him needed supplies.
The general store was almost deserted except for the bulky owner. He greeted Kith with a grunt and went back to work. Kith nodded and went to go buy food. Dried jerky, cheese, bread, chips, and fruit was his usual purchases. Nothing more and nothing less, except for some medical supplies now and then. Whether the owner noticed Kith’s routine, he did not show it. The owner rang up Kith’s items and sent him away. Kith slumped his shoulders and battled the cold until he made his way to the local pub. He never ordered anything except water, but he was interested in the talk that was going around. He hadn’t heard anything useful. He doubted today would be any different. Kith sat near the fire, letting his body thaw while draining several glasses of water and eventually a pint of beer.
He was proved right after 6 hours so he drained his cup and walked out of the door. It was significantly colder and the sun was low in the sky. Kith knew he had to hurry before it was dark. The snow made it difficult to walk but Kith pressed onward, turning his head from the cold. It seemed forever as he walked and mulled over the suspense of getting away from such a bitter cold. When he reached the meeting spot where he and Kiowa usually met, he found Kiowa standing there waiting, her body alert for any danger.
‘I heard voices about 2 miles off, hunters by the sound of them. We best be off.’ Kiowa said bending her knees so Kith could clamber on,
‘Let’s go then.’ Kith agreed and grabbed her neck and prepared for her take off. They flew close to the mountain to avoid flying over open land, in case of being spotted by the humans near by. Kith did not relax until they were safely hidden from view in the small cave. Kith dropped to the ground, resting his freezing limbs.
“We’ll leave tomorrow. I have got deliver this to Eracnaon.” Kith said, nodding toward the thick package lying near their belongings. Kiowa let out a small squawk.
‘You risked your neck for him, he should repay you.’ Kiowa said defiantly.
“Eracnaon is not someone who needs to do the repaying. He is a man of many talents and secrets.” Kith muttered, even though he inwardly agreed. Eracnaon was an elf that he had met 2 years ago in Edenmar. He offered to help Kith with the control of his powers as long as Kith ventured to and from Edenmar on errands Eracnaon needed to be done. Kith agreed, glad to be doing something while he waited. The errands were sometimes easy and could be completed in a number of days; others took weeks or months. Kith was thankful for the elf’s guidance, but he had an annoyance toward him for putting Kith and Kiowa in danger that came with some of the errands. This errand in particular called for Kith to retrieve an old book somewhere down in the desert. On his way back, Kith told Kiowa to fly low and that ended up with a bullet in her wing.
“I do it because it’s the only thing keeping me sane.” Kith finally said. Kiowa looked at him gently, ‘I know, you lost your best human friend. You deserve to be sane.’
Kith smiled and patted her on the neck. “We should get some sleep.”

It's a very short chapter but here is the last paragraph of that chapter:

Kiowa nodded and sank down to her scaly knees. Kith agreed and lay down next to her and waited until he could hear the quiet rhythmic breathing that told him Kiowa had fallen asleep. He silently got to his knees and retrieved the package. Kith unwrapped it and looked at it. Its crimson cover was dull and worn but the gold writing could not be more intact. Scribbled scroll read: ‘The Rise of the Powers’ and had a snowflake, leaf, fire, and wind pictured beneath it. But when Kith opened it, only blank pages met him. Sighing he wrapped it back up and place it back under his sack. Kith took in a deep breath of cold air and thought of his best friend, Crymson, as he fell into a deep, dark, uncomfortable sleep.
