When you go on to your first date, where do you want to go? Like people like to go to restaurants or the movies or the theatre. For myself I would go to a nice restaurant and later to a concert or the theatre. Oh also, if you go to the movies, what kind of movie would you watch?

I would just go to the movie theater and then out to dinner....and I think it would be an action movie :)

Well, if i was bringing a girl out to the movies, i would let her pick. Even if it is a chick-flick, i will just have to get over it!!!!But i would also make sure that i pay for everything, unless it gets out of hand!

Yeah, I would pay everything as well but if she starts ordering large gourmet meals in a restaurant, I'll start questioning.

You guys got it...pay for everything, and us girls will love you.... :p

Honestly though, On a first "date", I would so let the guy pick. I mean isn't that the point; that the guy gets to suprise and impress the girl? Whatever he wants is fine with me....within limitations of course.:)

Aww, you sure know how to get a girl to be happy with you! Sit through a chick flick!

If my boyfriend was paying, I wouldn't order a huge meal. all I'd get would be a salad or something.

But considering all Hunter and I do is stroll around the mall never actually buying anything, but taking pictures all dressed up, and eat fastfood, I guess there isn't to much I could order, hmm?

Welcome!
I'd never go watch a chick flick. Not alone, not with a girl mate, not with a boyfriend. Partly because people would've gone insane because of my commenting, partly because I hate these movies myself ...
If we were to go to the cinema, we'd probably watch an action movie, they're the most neutral if you get my meaning ... then a dinner and the best part, kissing. (I hate kissing btw. It's yucky and slimy ew)

I can't see myself going on a typical date. I'd rather just get to know a guy by hanging out with him at social functions like church or parties or soprting events.

I also couldn't imagine to go on a 'date'. I get to know guys at parties, in school, at church or when I go shopping (for example). If one of them would ask me to go on a date with him, that would be ok, but I wouldn't date anyone I haven't even talked to before.

Typical dates just aren't my thing. I'd never make a guy go to a chick flick with me nor would I make him pay for my meal unless he insisted upon it. I want him to know I can take care of myself and that I do have his preferences in mind at all times.

I think that that is a good way think about dates. I wouldn't expect my boyfriend (if I had one) to pay for all the dates. I don't think it would be fair. Take turns.

First of all, a guy who dates with a girl should do the all payment like myself. I do not let a girl pay for me or even pay for herself. It is like the nature of dating, when dating process, it is the guy who took all the responsibility like paying the money or bought a movie ticket or the other stuff.

Church is a social function for ya? that is interesting. Well I would not think that if I ever bring the girl with me into the mosque or whatever the place of religion she is likely to worship.

The movie definitely would be the romance-comedy I would go along with the girl. *sigh* hopes to date one as soon as possible.

wow, third page?

I think we need a change of topic.

So, do you guys have any teachers that treat guys differently than girls? Gives either one or the other advantages, or soemthing of the like?

I know I do.

I actually had a teacher last form who seemed very prejudiced towards guys. Okay.. maybe prejudiced is a strong word, but she definitely treated them differently. It might've been because she'd just been divorced, but anyway.. she was constantly making gender-related slurs and jokes. The guys in the class really hated her.

Same here! Usually people say that you have to date someone before you can love them, because that's how you get to know each other. Umm...don't you get to know someone when they're you're freind? :teehee:

Our math teacher is remarkably similar. She's the cheerleading coach and receiving influences from all the wonderful preps in our school, so understandably she discriminates males. She jokes around a lot and punishes the guys more harshly, but I have no idea if the guys actually hate her because she's actually pretty funny.
