I'm with Aerandir Still no bio for that one. Life's been sort of crazy.

....
Y'all let this get to page two without giving me anything to reply to.
I'm starting to formulate an idea for my character in "Rebuilding the North Kingdom" though, so I should be able to jot it down soon.

Aww, I'm so honored.
Right now, I'm making a first attempt at RP romance. [Diamond Shards]. It's really very interesting, as I'm strongly trying to avoid the sappy... "I'll love you forever my sugar plum" ... cliche, and yet at the same time stay away from a humorous or comical romance. Any idea's from ye olde RP veterans?

Wellll, as of now I've only done one RP romance that actually got somewhere, and that's in Star Crystal, Merrin and Kendath. No, that's not entirely true, Nakaida/Orindil's gotten pretty far too. Anyway, I would say that for a romance to be interesting and fun, it can't all be flowers and smiles. Your characters have to have difficulty, and be confused, and whatnot. Angst Also, their personalities need to be compatible. I think that's hard to judge, but if you do romance often with one person you'll figure out how their character(s) and yours work together.

In my experience, romances that've started out as nothing but began to develop through the rpg are the most enduring ones. It's just no fun when the two characters start out in love. Both users and characters have to complement each other, which doesn't necessary mean have similar personalities, but they have to feed off each other.

W00t for PotR! *applauds* Awesome, mate, you deserve it And the banner is spectacular, LDM. Very nice. Also, kudos to everyone who got nominated - I honestly could not decide who I thought was best! So many good RPers here.

Congrats, potr! I must say you deserve it!
hmmm... I think all the RPs I'm in have slowed drastically ... it must be a conspiracy. *glances around suspiciously*

w00t for PotR.
Lol, FM. I just avoid getting involved in RP romance. *glances at Star Crystal* well, somewhat. None of my characters are involved in it, anyways. It just gets confusing (for poor confusable me), and I have no rl experience to back it up.
Yes. It's a conspiracy, Valera, between my brain and my parents, who think I spend more time on the computer than is good for me. To that end, they have probably plotted with my brain to drain my creativity from me. I shall prevail, though, and post a lot!!! w00t.

Congrats, PotR! And of course I remember you, SG! lol
I'm sure you have more ideas, LDM, but I had a couple of thoughts for future RP Guild contests- a RP race of the month, and RP land of the month. With the race of the month, entrants (is that a word?) would have to come up with and describe their own race of people/animals. I'm sure y'all figured that out, but I was confusing myself. lol

^^'Course, Aerandir! So, would 'The land of the coolest' apply to all of AU, or just us RPG junkies?

Cool ideas, Elenya! here's another one: have everyone pick a charrie they've already come up with and write backstory or a dream sequence, not to exceed, say, 250 words. That would keep it short enough so ppl wouldn't feel intimidated by super long posts (not to pick on you wonderful folks who do write novels )

NOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only 250 words, Valera? *whimper* I don't know if I would be able to manage it. How 'bout a max of.....500? That's not too big.
Cool ideas, though, both Elenya and Valera. I'm soooooooooo going to win the 'Race of the Month' though. I've got more ideas than I let out in the 'RPG Idea of the Month' bit.
