PotR told me awhile back(don't ask witch page, I don't know) that a "Fannon"(that means commonly accepted but not Cannon) first name for Capitan Barbossa was "Hector", that's there the "Hector Barbossa" came from in some storis or graphics you see online(where did you say it started? like, Jonny said it or somthing?) anyway, they haven't used it in any on the movies yet, but on the offical website on Barbie's wanted poster it reads "Hector Barbossa, Wanted Dead or Alive"! so mabey it will be Cannon now!

Well I think it should be officially considered his actual name if so many people believe it is really Hector. Why not just make it that if lots of fans call him Hector?
Besides, it sounds cool.
