Can it be a post that was actually written in an RPG? Or must we be creative and come up with a new one?

I'll wait for an example before I decide whether to think too hard on it.

I have a RPG idea for once but I am still working on it to improve. I would be glad to write down here if you are interested in.
LDM, you want us to write a RPG post in here. That seems kinda hard

Ah, Captain Faramir, keep working on that RP. All but 2 of the Rps I was in died, so I need someone to make a new one.

I'm glad I'm getting feedback, and no one said this was going to be an easy contest
All right new question - do you try to alter your post style to fit your character? For example, if you have an optimistic character, do you try to change your wording to make your post sound more optimistic as well?

Of course, that is a main point in writing.

I guess I do.
I've never really thought about that.

An Example, that isn't really RPGing, (but, oh well).
When I am writnig like I have a double personality, I will switch the type of attitude between Smeagol and Gollum.

So, for the post of the month, is it just like,
Joe Schmoe skipped through the field of lilacs without a care in the world.
?
Only, with more content?

*sniff* I'm hurt. I was gone for a week and a half, and nobody noticed.
Apologies to all those who I RP with, though--I got into a big argument with my dad two Fridays ago (right after my last post in this topic) and the end result was me being grounded. He just relented today.
Soooo....I don't think I'll be able to post in all of the topics today, but I'll be trying, so expect me to be caught up and posting before too much longer.
LDM and Melda. You posted five pages w/o me in Star Crystal. I feel....like I'm going to possibly have a hard time working Adanil back in. But hey, that's what makes RPGs interesting.
Interesting new contest, LDM. Perhaps I shall make an 'intro post' for my Kaderis idea.

^I did notice Aerandear... and I missed you
I was wondering if I missed the memo on the reasons for your absenceness, but since I haven't had much time for hanging around lately I was left in a void of ignorance... Welcome back!

Preferably yes... if the situation calls for it. Usually, the events will be seen through the eyes of the particular character, so if he/she is merry and cheerful, he/she is more likely to perceive the world in a brighter way. But the general the way a certain character acts and speaks will be expressed in the wording and writing so the nature of the post will probably just fit the main picture around that character...

For example, if you have an optimistic character, do you try to change your wording to make your post sound more optimistic as well? Oh yes. I typed up a mini-essay in Osgiliath about why word choice is crucial in an RPG, especially when playing a canon character (but I'll just post the part that is most relevant): Quote: I feel like it's very crucial to the RPG that each character seems like his or her self at all times, rather than just another two-dimensional character. I've played just about every character there is in various Star Wars and PotC RPGs (and a few from LotR), and obviously I'd never write the same way for each character, even down to how I describe their movements. No one simply walks. Captain Barbossa strides, Jack Sparrow saunters, General Grievous stalks, Davy Jones hobbles, Darth Vader lurches, etc. Each character also has their own manner of speaking, and that's a huge thing for me. Captain Barbossa probably wouldn't say, "Okay, let's go." His manner of speaking is more, "Aye. Shall we be on our way, then?" Little subtleties like that really make a world of difference for me, though maybe that's just my OCD showing through.
So to answer your question...yes. I'm very deliberate in choosing my wording.

I remember reading that post a long time ago and I expected you to write something like this here also!
I agree to every word, and I think most people get the thing with the descriptions, but many fail when their character speaks. And it ends up being something out of context like you mentioned!
Another thing I'm most annoyed about is my limited vocabulary. English is not my first language and sometimes I can't find the exact wording for something I want to describe. But I try to learn from good writers here and from books
