Why wouldn't he want to do more epics.. epics are remembered.

I personally think they should just be done with the trilogy if they can't get Orlando and Keira back… but if they could get both of them to do a fourth movie I would definitely be more open to it! And you never know what will happen in several years… by then Keira and Orlando might be more open too it… or Orlando might be (you're right Eruwaedheil and I think he also didn't/doesn't want to be typecasted in those types of period roles) but if you give them both a brake maybe they might be more open to it in a few years (especially Orlando… I'm not to sure about Keira...)

I am tossed up about this. In all, I am not the biggest fan of romance in a novel. I typically like movies better when there is less romance. So, not having them just really cuts out the romance. Which is bad or good depending on the person. What I see is that it is really only going to be Jack and Barboss and other pirates. Meaning, less romance and more funny Jack Sparrow lines!

Well, what I'm more worried about is that it'll loose it's whole PotC-y feel. I love at least a bit of romance and Will and Elizabeth add that and more and I think if they got rid of them they might take Pirates down the wrong road and toward being less PotC-y. How can it be Pirates of the Caribbean without them really? I mean they're Jack's friends (Will and Jack are like brothers!)! And I still hold on to Jack coming back for Liz after the end of AWE… But anyway I don't want Barbossa and Jack to be the only original characters if they did make Pirates 4... they at least have to keep the rest of the Black Pearl crew (Pintel, Mr. Gibbs, Ragetti and the rest)... but I'm afraid if they made one change it might lead to another and another and another. So sure we'll get lots of fun Jack and awesome Barbossa but the rest will be... un-PotC-y.

^^I agree..it's not that i want them in there for the romance aspect..IMHO they ruined the love story anyways in AWE(my opinion) But i would like the origional cast...I don't want the romance aspect...I just want it to be PoTC and I don't think it would be without those two. Now if they did something like a spin off...and called it I dont' know..Like "jack sparrow and the bottle of rum" or something i would be like sweet...no need for Orlando or Kiera but if they are calling it PoTC 4:(insert 4th movie title here) then i think for the sake of the movie they need to be in it....does that make sense???

I think they will be back in further movies, but will take a break.

I can see them in it and not in it at the same time. The writers are writing about a different part of the storyline. Just because The Hobbit doesn't have Aragorn in it, does it make it not part of Lord of the Rings.. no. It is just a different section of the story. Aragorn wasn't in that part but introduced later. Same way, Will/Lizzie are not in this part of the story, but I am sure they will come back.

^^I can agree with that point...like you said The Hoobbit is a seperate part but it's not called Lord of the Rings...I think they can do something similar with PoTC as long as it doesn't have the exact title of PoTC then I think it will be alright I just think that PoTC has the expectation that Will/Elizabeth/Jack/and most likely Barbosa will be present...

I understand what you are saying, but I do not believe Hollywood does. They are still going to use Pirates of the Carribean, I believe.

And, I agree with Will/Elizabeth ruining the love story in AWE. I wanted them both to get over themselves throughout the movie.

Oh I totally agree. Hollywood will use the PoTC name because it makes money. I just think that if they do it will back fire on them and alienate a lot of the fans of the PoTC trilogy.

As far as the Will/Elizabeth thing. I mean I don't know if I wanted them to get over themselves, but I did think they were both being foolish. Then Will dies, blah blah blah. I don't know. The only thing I liked about the love story in the thrid movie was the marriage in the middle of the battle, I thought that was really awesome. However, I don't think anything really leading up to it or afterwards was worthy of ANY type of love story.

I'm not really sure if I want more pirates movies. I mean, they are great and all, but everything has to end at some point. I mean, imagine if they kept going all the way to pirates 27? Hardly anyone would want to stay that long. Jack Sparrow would be going around in a wheelchair!

LOL I understand that aspect as well...Although that Idea does have some comedic value...Jack rolling around in a wheel chair, going after wenches and Rum...I would think it would be very humurous...sorry I just got a visual and I thought I should share it...

They ARE making a Pirates 4........But Will and Elizabeth aren't in it. It's just Jack and Barbossa.

you are totally 100% right! Totally! It wouldn't be PotC without Will and Elizabeth! But not so much for the romance... just because they need the origianl four for another movie titled Pirates of the Caribbean.
But a spin-off (wouldn't be as good but...) would be better. Much, much better! and I like the title you thought up! lol Jack Sparrow and the Bottle of Rum! lol that's great!

You guys all have good points! I can totally see another Pirates of the Caribbean… but as long as it's a separate part of the story. And if it's a separate part of the story than it should go under a different name. (like smeag said about The Hobbit and LotR)

But you guys are right. It will be Pirates of the Caribbean… a lot because that name is what people know and what will attract people… and it makes them money as you have pointed out, Eruwaedheil. But like you also said for me it will back fire on them… there's no way in the world I will like this movie anywhere near how I like the trilogy. No way. especially if they name it PotC.

And you're correct too, Aramel, sadly all good things have to come to an end someday.... they might as well go out now while they're on top.

Although I didn't have much of a problem with Will and Elizabeth's romance… it wasn't overpowering to me, they remained loyal to each other even in the most difficult of times, and they were two great characters who you could tell REALLY loved each other… so all that was perfect to me. Although their ending was less than satisfying....
