^ That is also true. So, if it is interesting and there are deticated RPers, it will last longer than if it is dull and the RPers die after after a few days....not lirately die, though...

For me personally, it greatly depends on the style of those roleplaying with me, as well. Some people prefer to have one- or two-sentence posts each time, and a completely spontaneous by-the-moment plot. And that's great; there's nothing wrong with having that style. It's just not mine. Being both a writer and OCD, I like to be able to post at least a paragraph each time (preferably more), and I prefer to have a pretty good idea of where I'm going with it (like Melda said, a semi-concrete plot). I don't have to know exactly who's going to say what where; I just like to have a basic plot outline (this event leads to this event leads to this event). So, personally, I'm not very likely to stick with an RPG if everyone around me is making one-liner posts and has no idea where we're going with the plot. It's nothing against them. I'm just well aware that I'm not going to be having any fun, and neither will they as long as I stick around.

Very true in that also. I perfer plotlines where I can post at least a paragraph, but I will also post in one-liners. And, for one liners, it is very hard to post a paragraph from everyone's one-line posts.

Exactly... *sighs* I'm really really bored... lol!
Hey, what the highest amount of characters you've played in one rpg? Me... it would be six or seven um... *counts of fingers* six...

I'm kinda like Smeag, I think. I like to be able to post at least a paragraph, or maybe more in an RP, but I'll post one-liners too, if that's what kind of RP it is. I can have fun in both types.
I think the highest number of charries I've had in an RP is three- possibly four. Usually I play one or two.

I've played five, in Crossover. Legolas, Merry, Sam, Boromir, Elizabeth. But only for a little while. I didn't actually find it that hard - even two characters used to be difficult for me.
For me, I can't have fun in an RPG where nobody except me posts anything but one-liners. I need at least two paragraphs to be satisfied with it, and usually more. I sorta feel that your character can't develop and gornw if all you post is one-liners, because you're not getting a feel for them.

At pirates post, I agree with her, but I also agree with Smeag, I think I would like an RPG that I can post both one liners and 1 or 2 paragraphs or more, and still keep the flow of the RPG.
What I really like in a RPG is if I have a good char to play (whether OC or an acutally charactor like Jack Sparrow, Aragorn, etc) and a char that I like to play and that I can bring good qaulities too, and really have fun RPing the charactor and get into great lengths and details with him or her. And if the other people treat there charactors like this also, it makes the RPG much more enjoyable, in my opionin.
At Eruraina's question, I would have to say 5 or 6. I have grown used to playing multiple charactors.

yeah, I do like those kind of rpg's! I mean, sometimes you go braindead and you can't think of a 1-2 paragragh post, and all you can think of is a few sentences. But, it also matters about the situation whether you can post that much or not.
And a good character is also one you can make more interesting the more you rpg with them... ones that you start out with a simple background so that you can add onto it to make the actual rpg more interesting.

I really like developing my OCs as I RP. It's sorta like writing- I usually have an outline of what that person will be like, but as I play him/her, the personality and backstory develop more thoroughly, and their little idosyncracies and habits appear.

^ Agreed. It also helps if you are a writing, by participating in RPG's. It sharpens your writing skills and it had really helped in my writing. So thanks AU and all AUers!

Really? We should have a grammar club! Where we could help edit grammar and such for research papers! Oh! That would be sooooo cool!
Do you edit your posts?
I do, sometimes.. but I am working on doing that more often.

Terrible Speller's Club? That sounds like it is demoting grammar, personally. Maybe we should request it? The Grammatically Correct.
