My funniest is likely Phantom Grey..not because he's really funny, just mostly because I don't have a lot of funny characters He's more quietly sarcastic and wry.
My favorite on A-U is Merrin, hands down. But you probably all knew that.

Yep.. I put myself into the situation where I only half paid attention during the movies and was more snooty.. then type out her posts.
Aaron is a great rambler... He's like the energizer bunny.
Mel, I unfortunatly have not have the priveledge to RP with you when you had either of those characters.

Going back to my favorite sort of character to play (since I didn't get a change to respond to that before the subject changed again ), I love playing a main supporting character. In other words, someone who is a key element in the plot and engages with the main character frequently, but isn't the main focus of the story. The perfect example of this sort of character would be Kjan from Phantom Grey. He's the absolute embodiment of my favorite sort of character.
Of course, I also LOVE playing villains (probably too much). And the snarkier, the better. I absolutely love being able to say things I wouldn't otherwise get to say, and just generally being bad. Concocting a diabolical plot is so much fun, as is witty repartee with miscellaneous heroes.
Me? Crazy? Never.

That was one of the conversations before? I didn't get to answer! So, I shall now.
I agree with playing one of the main characters.. because, otherwise, there really is no reason to have you in the plot, and we don't like that very much preciousss.
I have not gotten the chance to really be a villian, and I haven't pushed myself into it because I don't know how I would be. I am really nice and kind in real life. I don't know if I will be able to change dramactically for an RP. Although, one day, you may just see me.. being evil in one.

Well, I've only used Merrin in Star Crystal, and I've only used the Phantom in Phantom Grey...and I'm not likely to use them anywhere else...so you're not the only one
I don't really know what type of character I like best...I find I'm not really the most adept at leading a plot successfully so I don't know if a leadership position is really my favorite spot for a character of mine to be in. That said, I do really enjoy the Phantom, so I'm not sure. I think I like a main-ish spot, but I'll live if it's not a main one...eh, I'm pretty flexible

About the type of charactor, I usually don't like playing evil charactors, but I will is totally needed. *shrug* It also depends on the RPG. I like to play main charactors if I am really excited about the RPG or if I really like it. But I also don't mind playing minor charactors, as long as they aren't so minor that I can't make good posts that are valueable to the RPG.
So yeah, I'm pretty flexible.

I love my villains as well. When I first joined, I played nothing but villains/diabolical antiheroes but I've branched out in the past months, starting with a certain dashing assassin Melda knows.
I don't spend that much time on my characters. Most of the time they're conglomerates of other characters from my story or ones I've come up with on the spot. Half of them are born by spending three minutes on Google Images. I go for profession, appearance, and age first. Name is last and history is optional, mostly spontaneous/incomplete. I'll improvise a personality to complement the rpg and other characters. imo, characters aren't as important as the posts themselves. Nothing irritates me more than a well thought out profile, followed by bad posts and no contribution to plot.
I don't really have a favorite rpg character. I've come to like some better than others but I'm not quite at the obsession stage. Same cannot be said of characters in my story, but I'll spare you the rant.

(He's dashing enough to have acquired a fangirl, really. I've determined that when I get married it shall be to someone named Kendath Turner.)
I've...never played a villain. I have a couple characters with mercenary allegiances but I don't think I've ever had an actually evil character. And I love my inherently moral creations. Might be fun to be evil sometime, though. That's not to say I'd be good at it.
Melda doesn't have to count the days anymore! *Does a happy dance*

I've never played a villain either... unless you count the Fellowship of Mordor RP... but I probably could do it if I tried since I have villains in my stories...

I've played villans... though the rpg usually dies before I can do something really evil... so, yeah!

It's always so hard to keep an RP going. Usually around the 40th page everyone has left except for one or two people. It's rather annoying.

Then, you should get people who are really into the RP, AE.
