I do the same thing!

I don't usually get a character pic right off. I tend to do a basic physical description, then play the character for a while until I start to get a clear picture in my head. It does make it harder to then find a picture that matches, but ah well. Usually, if I do end up having a pic for them, it'll be some obscure actor that I randomly saw in a show or a movie and went "Wow, they look just like _________!" For example, my brothers were watching See Spot Run, of all movies, and when David Arquette came on screen, I suddenly though "Kjan!" And thus, I now have a basis for all pictures of Kjan (though some Photoshopping is still involved).

I have no idea how to get myself back into Phantom Grey! Seriously, you guys have a nice little flow going on, and I'm wandering around in the snow at the back. But ah, I'll try to find a way.
As for pictures, I don't really use them. But I think if I did, I'd either draw them myself or deviantart search for them. Actually, I tend to base my character's looks off of either characters from other books or people I know. Hmm..

^I try to find pics that fit the time period, too. I might find an actor that looks just like one of my fantasy characters, but he has a lip piercing and is wearing a polo shirt. lol Sometimes I can find a close up headshot that doesn't show much of their clothes, and that works for me.

Yeah, same here. The pics I use most for Merrin (who is really the only character I HAVE pics for) are either closer-up head shots or just her face. It works better that way.
Let me know if you need assistance, Nurr Happy to help.

The only character I have a picture for is named Kira Marshall. I haven't had the chance to RP with her here because she would not blend into the storyline.

hmm, generally I never have a picture in mind. It takes playing the charrie awhile to come up with appearances (I still really don't know what Aidne Sarasdat looks like, beyond ordinary), but sometimes, when I have to supply a picture, somebody's photo, more or less obscure, will jump out at me, and then I have a base. If I have to do the photo before I start playing someone, usually the photo shapes who the charrie is.
RP idea: if all the charrie pictures, but not profiles, were supplied, and ppl took a pic apiece and developed the profiles ... that might be interesting. Thots?

Yeah, that sounds like a lot of fun.
We really do need to start working on the RP we said we were going to start.

I just took this one for Ruth Ann Underhill. It is right on!
You Are 72% Good
You are a good person. You do the best you can to be ethical, fair, and moral.
And as you know, being a good person means making hard decisions... and following them through.
If you're confronted with an ethical dilemma, you will usually do the right thing.
Of course you do slip up. No one's perfect. But you do your best to correct your missteps.
You are also probably: incredibly honest, especially with yourself
Right now you are on track to being: A respected leader
To be a better person: Be kind to someone who is not very kind to you
How Good Are You?

For Kjan, same test as smeag took:
You Are 40% Good
You try to do the right thing, but only when it works out in your favor anyway.
You're not exactly evil or without ethics, but you could be going down a pretty dark path.
You probably have good intentions. You've just gotten comfortable with acting the way you do.
Knowing the difference between good and bad is half the battle. Acting like a good person is the hard part.
You are also probably: A bit jaded and cynical about life's rules
Right now you are on track to being: A petty criminal
To be a better person: Help a friend in need, without being asked
Pretty accurate, I suppose, as far as the "petty criminal" thing goes, though he's more just a rebel. And the good intentions part. Main thing with him is that he's not always very particular about how those good intentions are achieved.
