That sounds fun *tries it*
I chose my newest character:Biara
You Are 8% Good
Well, you're not necessarily evil - but you're pretty darn bad.
Morals are something you don't concern yourself with. You're amoral... not immoral.
So what motivates you instead of ethics? Greed, lust, laziness, anger. The usual bad stuff.
Bottom line, you're not trying to be a good person. In fact, it probably never crosses your mind.
You are also probably: Not too terribly concerned about what anyone thinks of you
Right now you are on track to being: An evil dictator
To be a better person: Start small. Pet a puppy.
And that fits her.She is an evil character

Okay, even though I haven't started rping with him yet, I put my only Dwarf character Grageon, through it:
You Are 44% Good
You are a fairly good person. You strive to live a moral life whenever possible.
You are usually kind, generous, and loyal. However, you do have a dark side that even you may not see.
When it comes down to ethical decisions, you tend to take the path of least resistance.
So you may end up lying, cheating, or engaging in other bad behavior... because it's just easier to do so.
You are also probably: Conflicted and confused about the current course of your life
Right now you are on track to being: A slightly crooked politician
To be a better person: Break one bad habit - whether it's telling white lies or spending too much money.
How Good Are You?

Yeah... lol!

May I become a member of this club? I have been reading the role playing section of Arwen Undomiel and I have made up my mind on becoming a role player once again. It has been awhile though therefore any suggestions on which role play would be a good one for me would be appreciated.

Welcome, Christian! Glad to have you. And yay, a returning RPer!
As for which one would be good - what kind of genre do you like? There are a couple new fantasy ones just starting out, I believe.

Well, this was for Jate. I didn't know he was that misdirected.
You Are 40% Good
You try to do the right thing, but only when it works out in your favor anyway.
You're not exactly evil or without ethics, but you could be going down a pretty dark path.
You probably have good intentions. You've just gotten comfortable with acting the way you do.
Knowing the difference between good and bad is half the battle. Acting like a good person is the hard part.
You are also probably: A bit jaded and cynical about life's rules
Right now you are on track to being: A petty criminal
To be a better person: Help a friend in need, without being asked
And Melda, it'd be nice if I got a little help with getting back into the story.

Raven's new RPG looks interesting, as well - the Split at the Seams one. I would suggest it.
No problem, Nurr, I'll PM you

No, I joined already... I'm just going to be the race that seems to be shunned by everyone else... and so far that's dwarves... what do you people have against dwarves, anyway?

^I personally don't have nothing against them
Just this time I decided to change the roles for a bit:that's why I chose the bad character.

Welcome, Christian! I'm Valera, or Val -whatever - and I'm a little picky about my RPs, but that's where you'll usually find me!

Melda knows stuffs too *points to halo* By the way, I TOTALLY call Guinevere or Gwenhyvar or whatever you want to call her. Big surprise, eh?
As for MSs, I think it's sort of a thing that will dissipate as RPGers get more advanced. There's not really a way (besides setting out guidelines at the beginning of your RPG) to avoid it. I know people HERE are careful, so we just have to...you know...swell our ranks. *nods sagely*

My best method so far for "scaring away" the MS's is very clearly stating in the rules that they will not be allowed. That way, if someone comes in with a character that you think is a bit too...eh, you can (politely) mention the rule and ask if they can maybe tone down the character a bit. Another good method, if you happen to know the types of MS's that abound in a certain genre, be even for specific. For example, I always stipulate in my PotC RPGs that there will be no female crew members and no canon/OC love interests. Yes, it also blocks out a potentially good character (I've pulled off characters with MS qualities that aren't MS's), but at least that way you don't have to deal with the dilemna of suddenly finding your ship crewed by ten gorgeous, flirtatious, witty, highly skilled teenage girls and two canon males (I've done it...scaaary thing, that).
Yeah, it may make you look a bit intolerant, but in most cases it's better to let everyone know in advance what you don't like, so that when it comes up, you can just point to the rules and shrug.
