Why thank you Tur I do try.
My RPing...style, I guess, has changed a lot even since I joined A-U. There was a time when I would join every single RPG out there, and post in them all very frequently, whereas now I think I can count seven RPGs I'm in on the first two pages, and it's a lot of posting if I post once every day. Often I'll do most of my posting on weekends. I also used to LotR RP almost exclusively, and I haven't been in one for probably a year now, unless you count Pirates in Middle-Earth?! or The Pendragon and the Evenstar. I would call myself a better RPGer now too, and a better writer...it's just interesting to ponder.

Yeah, I know my grammer has gotten alot better since I started rping. And my style has changed dramatically! I'm only in 2 alive LotR rpgs at the moment... and about 6-8 alive non-lotr rpgs. I remember when I was in about 10 each... lol... of course, when I started rping, I started out strictly in the LotR rpg section, then I wondered to the non-lotr, and now I'm mostly in the non-lotr.
Change happens... lol!

I used to join every RP that I thought looked cool, which turned out to be just about everything except Star Wars (since I haven't seen SW). I posted lots of one-liners, and had... not the greatest characters. Partly because I've been busier lately, but also because I'm (hopefully) getting better at RPing and writing, I've been more selective about which RPs I join. I'm realizing that I wouldn't be as good in some than as in others. I'm also trying to write longer posts with substance.
Wow, that paragraph is confusing myself. lol

On A-U, when I started RPing here, it was all in the LotR section, but before long I moved over to Sharky's. But from the start I had 'long' posts (meaning something more like two paragraphs minimum), because when the first time I roleplayed ever was in a SW RPG, and everyone there made long posts, so I imitated them. After all--it'd look somewhat conspicuous if among all of these multiple-paragraph posts there was a one-liner.
Since then, I've decided that it's actually more fun to write a lot.
But when I joined, the only things I RPed in at first (here on A-U) were LotR and SW ones, followed by a few others that I thought might be interesting.
And right now I'm in only four RPGs. <_<

That's like my story, too. Almost completely the same. Weird. lol

Well, really, there's only so much you can do with LotR. Non-LotR has a but more room for varied characters. That's what I found, anyway.
Today is the one-year anniversary of Star Crystal

*ENVY* I've only played bits of that game on Xbox, but it was amazing. Right now I'm kinda wiped, and not up to posting...I need a shower and some food...

Hmm...sounds somewhat fun, I guess. Drizzt would be okay to play as in a Video Game.
Melda....me is waiting for you to post in Phantom Grey.

ATTENTION ALL.
Inspired by the sorry state of this round's Minstrel Award (no offense to mods, I know they're busy), I'm thinking about hosting something like an RPerfest, which'll include a massive, fun, pointless rpg and a Hall of Fame (like Melda's rpg awards, [s]except better[/s] for rpers themselves). I'll start towards the end of this month, maybe Thanksgiving, and go on over Christmas.
What I need is a tally of people who'd be active over Christmas break and would like to participate in massive [s]pointless[/s] rping and nominating/voting. You don't have to commit... I just want an approximate number.
Please copy/paste the list and add your name.

Sheesh- sorry! lol
Maybe we could use some of the ideas we've talked about during the RP fest- playing a character type we've hardly ever played, having pictures as the basis for characters, etc.

When, exactly, would this fest take place?
