I don't think LotR is, really. It's one of the more inflexible ones in my opinion, because all the history is already so meticulously worked out that it's hard to come up with anything new. I think PotC is more flexible simply because not so much of it is already set in stone.
Awwww, poor Ellie. *gives you flowers and a card*

There a couple of less well-known cannon settings that have a lot of potential for RPs. The Stargate universe is one. You've got Earth and hundreds of habitable planets, many of which you can travel to nearly instantaneously, and many of which have thriving civilizations with different degrees of technology. You have three major enemies and several smaller ones, hundreds of different races or cultures, and freakin' awesome weapons and ships! And, if that's not enough, you can go into the Pegasus Galaxy, with even more planets, races, and enemies. I sounds like a tv commercial. lol
Another less serious cannon setting is the Hitchhiker's Guide galaxy. Just about anything goes there! lol

I am in a role play. I am in more than one at the moment though one of them has not yet begun. I am actually reading through the Crystal of Chaos as I have been away this weekend through the beginning of this week and I need to put up a post.
However I have thought of being in one more and of being a female in the one that I chose. It would be interesting to have a female character and I am attempting to be in more than one role play in order that I would be able to write better and quicker.

@ Christian-It definately helps! Good for you!
@ Aerlinniel-That is the same with me. I'm not a huge Star Wars fan at all.

Bah. Y'all should read Star Wars.
Um, apologies for me absence--I've not been feeling the greatest recently.
Who thinks they'll be active during Thanksgiving week?

I probably will be- I'm not going anywhere for Thanksgiving. Since I have a couple of days off from school, I'll probably be able to be on a bit more.

Seeing as we kinda already had our Thanksgiving here, I'll be just as active as I always am. Which is decently active, if people post. I might take advantage of the break to start a new RPG I've been pondering...but you never know with me when I say that...

I plan on being active and I hope I will be, but ya know, with the family and stuff, anything can happen.

Um, Thanksgiving would be better explained by someone who lives in the USA and knows all of the typical reasons.
For my family, though, it's just a day to...give thanks for all of the good things in our lives, etc.
Anyway, I plan on being on during my Thanksgiving break.

So here's my thoughts on the Hall of Fame. Feedback highly appreciated. In fact, copy and paste the list and put stars next to ones you like. Put more stars next to ones you really like. Add your own suggestions too.
Legendary Award - overall best rper
Dragon Award - best fantasy rper
Unidentified Award - best scifi rper
Canon Award - what do you think?
Party Leader Award - best rpg host, best initiator of plots
Disciple Award - most flexible follower of plots, best with side characters
Transvestite Award - best at rping opposite gender (thanks Aerlinniel for inspiration. Reindeer, this one's for you.)
_______ Award - best at rping same gender (to be fair. any ideas on what to call it?)
_______ Award - your idea(s)!!!!!! *cough*

For the last, I suggest that it be something along the lines of "best non-MS RPer"....which doesn't quite explain it, I don't think. For the person who has the fewest MSes, or something like that.
And I have no idea as to a name for that one or the other nameless one.
But I really like the first five, especially--I have to admit, I'm not really so keen on the Transvestite award.

Would a non-MS award be something more like a Most Realistic RPer award? Sorta?
And I've already suggested this to LDM, but thought on a Best Romance RPer award?

Um. I guess. Maybe-sorta.
Lol, Melda. The Best Romance RPer one (along with the Transvestite one) are definitely ones that I wouldn't get nominated for.

I actually had that one planned, but I forgot to include it. I think I'll call it the No Man's Land Award - most original characters, including non-MS. I'm not sure if we have enough romance rpgs around here for best romance. Thoughts?
Aramel, I have a friend who would hyperventilate if she sees that banner.
