If they were to film the movie word for word from the book, but left one little line out, somebody would notice it, I'm sure. But anyways, I can't wait to see Prince Caspian. It is going to be amazing. Has anyone seen the clip introducing Reepicheep? It's awesome. Here it is if you would like to see. http://youtube.com/watch?v=4vROoHve-iUI actually really like how they did Reep's voice, I think it is perfect.
if any film kept exactly to the book, it'd be downright unpopular because everyone knows what happens and how. I was very surprised that LWW was as close to the book as it is. Very much so..
I'm not totally crazy about Reep's voice...it didnt' sound mousy enough I guess...I am spoiled by the radio drama I guess, lol.

Meldawen wrote: My feelings for Disney...actually, the hate there probably outweighs the love I like some of the Princess movies, but only some, and the sum total of all Disney movies I like are the old Princess ones, PotC, and Narnia. I don't consider them a company I'm at all willing to fully support, and while I think they can turn out a good movie once in a while (obviously) I do understand what you guys are saying.
^lol, those are my thoughts about Disney as well, Melda. btw, well said both of you, Melda and Bala. There's really nothing more for me to add to it. I've come to the exact same conclusions. So what if it won't be EXACTLY like the book, that doesn't really matter in the long run as long as they're not changing things drastically. I mean, I do know where the purists are coming from... it's wonderful to keep pretty close to the book, but I guess I'm pleased with the way it is. They could've changed things so much more! And anyway you really can't judge it til it comes out...
Earyende, actually I thought what everyone was talking about (or at least what I was talking about ) was just tension between Casp and Pete. Not really fighting like in that scene but just a rivalry.
Balathor, that's an amazing little clip with Reep and Caspian in it! I love it! lol I think it's all perfect! Go Reepicheep!!!

LOL I told my mom that I was going to see this Friday morning (since I don't have classes in the mornings), and she gave me this look and was like, "you could wait..."
There's a fairly good chance my sunday school class at church might see this, and I know my mom wants to see it... I anticipate seeing it more than once.

My... This is moving quickly.

It all makes sense now. ~PetraKenobi~ wrote: yes, he did. For a film based on a hymn that was directed by an agnostic, I was blown away. I think he'll do awesome on Voyage.
That sounds encouraging. Hopefully he will...
lol, lots of talk about purists and Disney-haters. Meh... I'm neither here nor there on that one. I like things to be as close to the book as possibly, but I do think movies and books are different things. And I'm not nescessarily a Disney-hater... I hate many, many things about Disney... But I love so much too. Sooo... Make of me what you will.
And, ohmygosh, Reepicheep is adorable! *huggles him even though it's dishonourable*

Your welcome
Yeah, he's pretty cute. I imagined him a bit chubby, but how he looks it's OK for me XD
Maybe the Disney talk we should move it to the Disney-themed threads. Part of Disney is good, other part is bad (I wonder how Walt would have reacted if he known about the sequels, merchandising, Shrek and co., and part of Disney channel... )
So, many are going to see it tomorrow,at what hour?
Does somebody have any merchandising or something? Today I went to Disney Store, but nothing. Then I went to a book and DVD shop and I bought The Sound of Music alongside with the PC book in spanish XD

I've seen some merchandise, just haven't bought, because I'm miserly. Not too much, stuff like the book with the movie cover, some sticker books for little kids, etc. I need to get me a poster, actually, to match my LWW one.
And I'm going tomorrow evening at an unspecified time. My dad's out as we speak, getting our tickets.

If I see action figures, I'm going to buy them. Probably of the Pevensie boys(since I already have figures of LWW Susan and Lucy,ah, and Jadis),
Reep, Trufflehunter, Caspian, and the dwarves. I already have alot of lion action figures that can pass as Aslan XD

Reehicheep is adorable!!! But, his voice isn't at all how I... erm, expected. I'll learn to love it eventually, I'm sure. lol, it sounds weird, but, whenever I read a line from Reepicheep in the books, his voice always sounds like the way my dad voiced it when he read the series to me years ago. That will always be the voice I have for him in my heart. But, nevertheless, this one's better.
I haven't seen any PC stuff. Which is annoying, since they always seem to have a steady supply of Hannah Montana/HSM stuff.. But, *cough* I shall refrain.

I just listened to the soundtrack. Either I was distracted and wasn't paying attention or there really wasn't any new unique memorable theme for the PC score. It seemed like mostly LWW thematic repeats and whatever wasn't a LWW repeat felt like just random background music. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE all the themes from the LWW soundtrack - but this score just doesn't feel unique. And those LWW repeats sounded exactly like on the LWW soundtrack itself. Almost as if Harry had just taken those bits from the last recording and put them directly into his PC score. The arrangements were identical.
Maybe I need to listen to it again, I don't know.
