I saw it yesterday. I liked it a lot, but I think I'll have to see it again before I really decide whether it was great or really great.
My Favorite Things:
- The battle sequences. They were just spectacular!
- The scenery. Wow. Especially the opening credits, and the ruins of Cair Paravel.
- Reepicheep. Utterly adorable and hilarious. (Can't wait until Dawn Treader!)
- The Penvensie children. I was impressed how they slipped into their royal characters so naturally. In LWW, they still looked very awkward and strange in their suits of armor, which was okay in that movie, but I was afraid of this happening again. But no!
- Peter/Caspian dispute. I don't think this was in the book, but it struck me as something very plausible. Obviously when you put to boys in charge with conflicting interests they're going to argue.
- Caspian/Susan romance. Not quite a favorite thing, but I didn't mind it. The thought had never occurred to me before, so it was kind of neat to see it play out. Especially since most of it was glances and flirting. Had they had something more intense, it probably would have seriously bothered me.
Not-So-Favorite Things:
- Caspian's Italian(?) accent. It makes sense but... didn't quite work.
- Caspian's utter lack of lines. Probably due to the Italian accent, making that even more annoying.
- Trumpkin. Too mean. He was supposed to be the nice dwarf.
- "You are a mouse!" Clever, and it still made me laugh, but you can't really call it unoriginal when it's the first time you hear it in the movie, or did I just miss it the first time?

Thirteen hundred. (13,000 would be a lot. XD)
Petra: I don't mind the Suspian, which translates into I'll read FF with that pairing if it's not horribly written.

I was thinking that.. but like.. ok she looks really good for her age.
Man, when I left the theater, I was joking about Narnia being a life enhancer. Meaning, they could just keep living over and over and over again by going into Narnia, growing up, leaving, going back, growing up.. etc. Although, Aslan probably wouldn't like that very much.

That's what I've thought. Get old in Narnia, go back to England, then go back to Narnia. Repeat cycle.

I just just imagine Aslan walking up and saying, "You are not allowed to use Narnia as a life enhancer."

PD, darling, do you remember what we were talking about? You are old... your memory is dying. What I was saying is, thankfully, the Chiuaua trailer wasn't before Indy. I'm happy you went to see it.
Hmmm... Little theaters don't charhe you so much. I went to one... oooh, it was tiny, in the middle of no where, $2 for a ticket. I was shocked. Hmmm, you need to start driving, m'dear. Ahhhhh, I see why you like it then. :teeheeL Is that the one with a HSM stand-up too, though.
Narnia as a life enhancer? I'm actually glad I wasn't the only one who's thought of that.

Padawan, awww, well, thank you... and you're very welcome, dear! lol, I'm happy you liked the quotes... well, I just sat there and wrote, sometimes nonstop, right while they were saying the lines. Not that that's an easy thing in an almost pitch black theater, but still. I'm happy you think so... there are some that I'm not quite sure about, but for the most part they are very close. *helps in the plotting* but Aslan might not be there... after all "he isn't a tame lion". yeah, Reep would be awesome! I would want to huggle him into eternity! "he's so cute!". hm, but we know you can't get back through the wardrobe... I wonder where those magic rings are though... after all they have to be able to take you there since Peter and Edmund (is WAS them, right?) went to get them in The Last Battle.
Hehe, I can just see you trying to write down the quotes in the dark, PD... Still though, in all seriousness, that was quite a feat...
I know Aslan might not be there, but still...one can always hope!
Yeah, Reep is so adorable , even though he would probably have our heads for saying that...on the other hand, he did say that he doesn't fight people who are unarmed, so maybe if we don't draw our swords, we'll be spared.
Yup, they've ruled out the Wardrobe and the train station, so maybe those rings would come in handy...although if you remember, in the world between the worlds, one became...erm...content...and didn't really care much about where they were going, so we'd have to bring something along to remind ourselves just how important getting to Narnia really is. *thinks*
Maybe a huge Prince Caspian poster?

Smeag, that would probably be what would happen too!
Haha, Narnia as a life enhancer… brilliant, smeag!
Taur, huzzah for seeing it! yes, yes, the battles and the scenery were some of the most phenomenal! hehe, *high fives* I really enjoyed the Caspian vs. Peter stuff too. *thumbsup*
But, but I thought Caspian’s accent was Spanish. either way I read why the director decided to do that. He had always pictured them with a Spanish (or Mediterranean in any case ) heritage. Since they did come from our world it could make sense. And I believe the “you are a mouse” thing is in the movie at least three times… and it was probably playing off of the fact that Reep has heard it multiple times before.
TT, what have I told you before? Something about a “selective memory loss”? yeah… ahhh, but now I remember! Thank you, youngster for reminding me! Lol I am too. Yeah, they are a plus in that way, but in every other way they aren’t. even though sometimes the money does make a difference. if you be poor like me, at least. Nah, because then I’ll have to come up with gas money. and I’m not about ready to start sinking all of my money into that! Yeah, it is… and they’re even down the same aisle, but thankfully at different ends. the PC one was right at the start of the aisle and the HSM3 one was wayyyy down at hteh other end.
Padawan, lol, I’m sure it must seem amusing… but thanks anyway. I enjoyed it… it was something different at any rate. (and if I get to go see it tonight... I might bring teh trusty notebook again. It just depends. ) Aye, hope is always there! But I thought he said he wouldn’t fight people who were unarmed but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t kill them… or some such thing. either way I don’t know if I want to cross blades with him. But it might be worth it just to cuddle him… just a little. *pouts* maybe one of his other friends wouldn’t mind though. or we might even be spared if we say we’re friends of Caspian, Peter, Susan, Ed, and Lu. I believe they would… hmm, that is very true. I wouldn’t just want to spend the rest of my life in the world between worlds. I want to go to Narnia! but what could reminds us…. Hmmm, *thinks* lol, that might work! Or, or… we could… hmmm, get one of those MEGA posters that the big cities have on billboards that have all of the characters on them. that way all we’d be able to see would be them. Lol

PD, my... I didn't think it was this bad! I thought you knew what you were talking about until you asked my what would be wrong if the trailer was before Indy! And I was like, "Okay. She has no clue what sh'e asking, otherwise it would be so obvious she wouldn't". You're welcome, mother dearest.
Money ALWAYS makes a difference for me. I mean, it has to. I have no source of money, and my parents have 5 kids to pay for. Our family going to the theaters is quite an expense. True... Ahhh, so that's okay then. You should like... I don't know! Do something to that standup.
What's this? Are you going to see it a third time tonight?
Anyhow, I don't believe I mentioned this, so I shall... because I feel like it. We took my brother to see this movie, and he was fine. Not scared at all. But, I don't think he really followed the movie that well. At the end of it, I asked him what the movie was about and here's his answer: "Well, it was about Caspian, Prince Caspian, and a mouse. And the mouse killed people. And the mouse keeped saying "I am a mouse!". So, that's all he got out of PC.

TT, lol, well, it might be... you can just never tell. There is too much for me to store in my poor noodle. Sometimes some of it just slips out. You must forgive me and my weak brain at times, you know. of course it does! Although it probably makes a bigger difference for you since for me there's only 4 of us in total (and your movies cost more to go to). but still, I have really no HUGE source of money (although I do have somewhat of one ) and there always seems to be something I want to buy... lol haha! Do something to that standup? Like what would you propose, TT? other than the fact that it would be damaging private property and all that, I'm ready and willing to do anything to it! Let's send it through the shredder! well, I might be... It's the last night our tiny theater has it so mother said she would take me to see it... but I still don't know if I'm going to get any more quotes or not. and this shall probably be the last time... *sniffle* until the DVD!
I was wondering if you took him after all. but I'm happy he wasn't scared or anything... even if he didn't really follow it.

PD, *patpat* Just wait until you turn 60 or something! (okay, I'm basically getting you back for your height comment right now ) Aw, I forgive ya! We young'ins must have compassion of you old folk.
Yeah... More people makes everything more complex. Oh, well, not counting that source (;)), I have none. Mmmm, I'm not sure there's always something I want to buy... What would I perpose? Well, let's see... First and foremost there's the priority of defacing Zac Efron. That is a must. And then you can shred it all you want, and burn the shreds! lol, forget the damaging of private property - riding the movie theater of that disgrace will do the general public a huge favour!
You'll have to let me know whether you're going or not!
And now you know. I know... I guess we've desensitised him... lol, no... he didn't follow, and I actually found that highly amusing.

You know, I just need to say how in love I am with your new siggie, TT. *huggles Caspian* he's so awesome!
anyway, lol, I know! It will be so bad! Yeah... laugh it up while you can. I've noticed you seem to be down the same "selective memory loss" road. So there. yes, yes, although I'm still not as old as some... *coughcough* yeah, I can kinda know what it must be like because one of my friends is a part of a bigger family as well. So I'm perfectly happy with my smaller family. What do you mean by "that source"? I'm sure it's probably different from mine... well, maybe there's not ALWAYS something I want to buy. In fact, there probably isn't, but it does seem like it sometimes. right now I only wouldn't mind having the PC soundtrack and the Lucy action figure. I have Susan, Reepicheep, Peter, Edmund and Caspian so.... yes, yes! Defacing Zac! Brilliant! Definitely a MUST! and after that.... what? *rubs hands together evilly* yes! Then we shred it... then we burn the streds and then, then... we, dump it into the ocean! And then we laugh like maniacs! and THEN we sue the theater for even playing the movie! Muahahahaha! yes, we shall be doing the public a favor... they can go to the theater without being bombarded by that kind of stuff. At last! haha, well, it seems as though you guessed before I could even tell you. But, yes, I did see it again. Although it shall be my last time.
yup! lol, nah, I doubt that. I think it's kinda cute.... awww.

Aww, Zac Efron is pretty! Wait, are y'all talking about HSM 3? When my mom and I went to see PC, we passed a standup of the characters from HSM. I started laughing and pointed it out to my mom. I guess they're going to prom this year. Haha, when the movies came on the Disney Channel, I'd watch them, but I'm not gonna pay to see one in the theatre.
But come on, Zac isn't all bad. He was way cute in Hairspray.
