Still sitting on the ground, Gwennneth's face crunched into a wince as she looked at Darrell's ankle which was sticking out at on odd angle. She wished that she could do something about it. Gwen hated seeing her friends in pain of any kind.
"We probably should've put something cold on it...anything close to ice. It's probably three times it's normal size by now," she said uselessly.
[I like that idea, Darrell. ]

[Ooh, I'd love to meet some Elveses!! ]
Larael sat down next to Gwen silently mulling over what they should do next. She took a peek at Darrell's ankle and winced. It didn't look too good, actually it looked terrible. There was no way they'd make it through Moria with his ankle sticking out all odd like that. There had to be someone around who could help them, or something at least.
Then she eyed the water warily.
"Maybe we should move farther away from the shore. So, we'll be somewhat out of harms way," she suggested.

[^Agreed!!]
Luthien was instantly relieved the moment Gwen convulsed. The moment where she spat up water was even better. Well, in a medical sense of course. She smiled weakly, "I think you'll be okay, but I don't want you moving too much yet." Peering past Gwen to Darrell's bruised and broken ankle, she shuddered. "That looks almost as bad as it must feel. You need that iced and wrapped as soon as possible, but how to do that?"
She sighed dejectedly. "So much for the grand adventure, hm?" At Larael's suggestion, Luthien nodded instantly, although not wanting to talk much.

[Umm, Larael, we aren't going through Moria too dangerous ]
"Where are we going to get ice from? The only place hereabouts with such stuff is half way up Caradhras. And getting away from the water is a good call. I'm in no fit state for another fight with the Watcher." He slowly drew himself away from the edge of the water, back towards his horse. Using him for support Darrell stood up on one leg, and drew down his pack. "I have something I think we all need right now though." He took a flask from the bag, containing the precious travelling cordial of Rivendell, Miruvor. He took a sip, and then held it out for the others "Here, drink a bit of this. I only have a little, but we need it right now" spoke with a slightly wry smile.

[Well, the Watcher has currently backed off, we're sitting/standing between the wall of Moria and the water. I just revived Gwen, and Darrell's ankle is as bad as ever. There ya go ]

((And Melda's all wet.))
Melda gratefully accepted the miruvor, still keeping an uneasy eye on the ripples at the far end of the pool. She handed it back to Darrell and began to chew her lip, like she did when she was anxious. "I know you guys are hurt," she began, "but it's going to come back if we don't get out of here soon!"

[Not sure. I thought we sent them back, but I could be wrong.
@ Darrell: Wha..? So, we're going around Moria?
I think we're kind of stuck, unless we get our horses back. Someone may have to work some RP magic here.]

[That's a plus. I guess I still have my horse too, as I don't actually remember sending them away. You never know though, with my terrible memory. ]

[We still have horses, unless they fled And Lareal, do you fancy wandering unguided through Moria with a Balrog on the loose? I thought we planned to go to Rohan through the Gap...]

[^I think my vote's for the second. *would much rather visit the horse lords than a balrog*

((Oh, duh! We'll have to look for the horses, it's not like they're going to stick around while the Watcher in the Water's there.))

[Well, I've already played that mine is still there. And they are Horses raised by elves. let us just say for ease that they haven't fled, and are still there. C'mon, we are allowed to make things slightly unrealistic to make the RP more fun ]

[*huggles Balrog* I guess not... But now that I think of it, I do remember agreeing to said plan of going through the gap. Bad memory strikes again! ]

[Hey people, you still up for this RP? C'mon, there so much still to do. How about we skip forward to the previously discussed meeting with travelling elves?]
Darrell lifted himself painfully up into the saddle, as the rest of the group collected their belongings, and mounted their horses as well. He set off at a slow walk, one leg dangling uselessly. The group was forced to travel at a slow pace of some time, as he was unable to keep up if they went any faster.
It was evening on the day after their run in with the Watcher outside the walls of Moria. They were approaching a small wood where they would spend the night. It was a pathetically small distance from where they had slept last night, and Darrell felt dreadful for forcing the group to travel so slowly. They drew under the eaves of the trees, with sun setting, low on the horizon, setting the world in a golden tinge with its dying rays.
They began setting up camp for the night, and preparing a fire. Suddenly a light caught Darrell's eye. It had a strange, pale, ethereal look to it, and was of a light silver colour. It took him a few seconds to register what he was seeing, but then he pointed and spoke, wonder in his voice "hey, look." It was obvious that a procession of the lands fairest inhabitants was drawing slowly towards them.
[Hope that revives the RP sufficiently for the moment ]

Gwenneth was glad to be back on a horse instead of her own two feet, which were shaky and had lost her complete trust. She could tell that Darrell felt badly that they could go no faster than a walk.
Gwen kept more to herself during this chapter of the journey. Staring off in general directions.
Why am I still shaking? she thought to herself, seeing the reins bobble ever so slightly. It was when her teeth began to clatter that she realized it was because she was cold. Her hair and clothes were still damp, and the sun was departing. She wondered when they would stop when Darrell made a sound and pointed forward.
Gwenneth looked up from the fire that had been prepared and stopped shivering. All she could do was stare...such a fair procession she had never seen.
...And they were coming this way.
