Wow, that just sounded weird. You think the father would remember something like that but then again, I don't have a dad around so I really wouldn't know.

Well I'm sorry if some of you of find the topic "ewwww gross" but it actually was a serious question. If any of you actually took the time to read how this topic got started, then you will see it was started in all seriousness.

And yes, I do think the topic is girl related in as much as how do females cope with males in their family who at the age of whatever, still can't use the toilet corectly. It is an age old question I believe.

And it's quite easy to change the topic without completely letting everyone know you hate it. You simply say "hey, what do you all think about....."

Eh.. can't say I've ever had that problem, as I don't have any brothers and I use a different bathroom than Dad most of the time. :P

Do any of you ever have problems with stereotyping in your household. I know in mine, only my Mum and I do the laundry because it's considered a woman's job. :eyeroll:

You have two bathrooms? :-o

Can't say we have that problem.. although the fact my mum does all the things like that, you could say we do have that problem. :teehee:

Yup. :-D One for my mum and dad and one for Becca and I. The toilet is separate of course, but we've still got two of those as well. :P

It's the same way with the dishes. They don't get done unless my sister and I do them. Dad doesn't have to do anything really. It's very reminiscent of the war days in our house.

We just have one bathroom, and a seperate toilet. My brother has 2 bathrooms in his house, an upstairs and a downstairs... considering there are only two people living there, I don't see the need really. :eyeroll:

Lol, well I think you could say the same about a lot of houses really. I'm pretty lazy when it comes to housework, and I can't do as much as I used to for various reasons, so it tends to be my mum and brother who do things.

Lol. I guess it's nice not having to wait on others if you really need to go or whatever, but it does seem a bit excessive really. :P

I can imagine.. if only I were as lucky, in a different way of course. Mum is quite insistent on my sister and I learning how to run the house. She's always of the mind that men don't do anything useful. She loves my father dearly, but sometimes it's frustrating to watch him do nothing while we spend the day laundering or something like that. :eyeroll:

I totally agree. My dad will be sitting on our cushy, nice, leather couch while we (my mom, sisters, and I) mop the kitchen floor, vaccum the whole house, do the laundry...I could go on forever.

^How familiar! My dad is always watching TV while my mom and I clean the whole house.I'm going out with the dogs.Even when I'm too tired for walks he says:"The dogs are yours-you must take care of them."Yes,I agree, that I have to take care of them but I need some help don't I?

See, my dad only believes he has to do jobs he's done his entire life. The most he does is vacuum and mop. The laundry and dusting only get done if we, that is to say Mum, Becca, and I, do it ourselves. I love my father dearly, but sometimes he gets on my last nerve!

Las is right-you are lucky!I do love my dad very much(The love to the parents is something that couldn't be measured,I think.) but I do believe also that it wouldn't be harmful to help in the housework.

My dad makes us do all the chores. I don't have the best relationship with him, and that is one of the biggest issues. It may sounds stupid but it's really bad!

I've never been really close to my dad. Though I do agree he's the best dad a girl could have, and I love him more than he knows...

i love my dad bunches. We have a good relationship. We get on eachothers nerves sometimes tho. i guess we're just too much alike? maybe not... :confused2: Back to the house cleaning: my dad does his own laundry (prolly because my mom will accidentally dry them on Hi and they'll shrink... lol!) but he also helps me and my sisters with the dishes. My mom and I do most of the other stuff. :)

JF, Yes, it really is not good. In my opinion it is ridiculas (no offence meant to any males who might be sneaking in here and reading though)...cleaning the toiler lid should not have to be on my list of things to do. It just gets so annoying.
I really do not understand it either. (sighs and shakes head)

Ilmare Tintalle, You have two bathrooms?! Wow, I am so envious. lol Good for you that you have to bathrooms though. :) My house only has two working bathrooms and I live with six other people. :(
Yes. Well, sort of. Mostly it is just expected that the women do any kind of work that is to be done at the house or at the store. Shopping, house cleaning (such as washing dishes, picking up, washing windows, etc etc), laundry, most cooking (not all though), taking the trash out, and working on most appliances (except for the dvd/tape player and the vehical...most of the time) is work that falls to the women in my house hold. (shakes head and sighs) I love my Ada with my whole heart and he is a great, nice person but most of the house hold work falls to me and the rest of the women in my house. (sighs)
