This poem I wrote about a month ago....& then i wrote kind of a sequel-type thingy not too long ago....anyway, here it is.

Secrets


Scared and confused,
Full of sorrow and pain.
But she could not tell,
Though she wished she could, in vain.

She wished it would stop;
That all her pain would end.
She wished she could tell
Her family and her friends.

It wasn’t that she was afraid,
That they would tell another person.
It was simply the fact,
The she couldn’t let anyone in.

When asked about her secrets,
She simply would not say.
She always kept them hidden;
She kept them locked away.

She wished that she could tell them;
That she were not afraid.
But she had told before,
And for it, she had paid.

She knew she hurt some feelings,
When she said she wouldn’t say.
In truth, she really wanted to.
She wished for it each day.

But the only one she could trust,
Was God, who’d shown her love and grace.
She hoped that others would understand,
This was a problem, that she just could not face.

So she sat down and wrote this poem,
And hoped that someone wouldn’t think it strange;
That they too had this problem,
And wished that they could change.

And after she finished,
She bowed her head, and prayed.
She begged God for someone,
Who would understand her pain.

She hasn’t met that someone,
Or if in fact, she has,
She has yet to realize it.
But she knows it’s in God’s hands.

She stills prays for the one,
Who will hold her in his arms,
And listen as she tells everything;
Listen to her pour out her heart.

And one day, that someone will come,
Though she’s still waiting for that day.
And he’ll look her in the eye,
And say, “You don’t have to keep things from me, locked away.”

That was so sad. *cries* It was wonderful, I love such poems.

Wow that was awasome!

Not only was it well writen but that is a poem that I can relate to in every line... Honestly that sounds exactily like me.... except the being a girl part obviously.

Wow- that's creepy. It's like you can read my mind. Seriously- word for word, that's EXACTLY how I feel. It's really weird how similar we are!! You did a great job with it though.

lol Don't worry Pip, I have never met somone outside or inside of my family that has spent much time around me and not thought I was weird.

I am a ton different than any6 person I have ever met. I am more like you and Arwen than anyone I know in personaly actually. lol And besides it's not "weird" it's "gifted"

And you do a nice job on your poetry, just keep it up.

gifted. i like that. lol Yes, ppl think that i'm weird as well. I prefer unique, however. lol & we're suppossed to be different. if we werent, then we'd all be the same. & that would just be................well, weird. lol

That makes three of us- I'm always considered quite "gifted" as well. I consider it a good thing- like you said, Pip, it would be boring if we were all the same. However, it is good to know there are other people out there so much like me, because I've never met anyone I'm more alike to than the two of you.
