Ooh, we are talking music now? I am a total music junkie. I always looking around on MySpace or other sites and looking for new music. The list of current bands and artists I listen to is almost never ending, I think.

As a few others have also said, I love buying CDs, rather than just finding stuff online. I like to see the band pictures, the band thanks, pretty album art...
Though iTunes is very useful if I just want one song from one artist.
Do the rest of you tend to listen to music before you buy it, or buy it on a friend's recommendation and then see what you think? I tend to look stuff up on YouTube and listen to it before I buy it; I've found that to be the best system.

Oh, I do that all the time. I have to listen to several songs by an certain band/artist before I can decide if I like them or not. I'm addicted to music so I'm always finding a new band that I like. A few that I cannot buy the CDs for because they are foreign bands and some do not have their music available for purchase in the USA unless it's bought imported online and at times it can cost and arm and a leg to buy it so until then, I have to download it, but then again, I download all the time until I have the extra cash to buy all the CDs I want.

hmmm, I haven't heard of many of these music groups, but like most of you, I definitely listen to music before I buy it. there's no way I would just go and possibly waste 15 or more dollars on a CD I'll hate. btw, has anyone seen those neat things at B&N where you just type in the music group you want and ALL their albums come up and you can listen to any song you want? I thought that was pretty unique since most of the time you have to scan the cd and then they only let you listen to like one song or something.... anyway, I thought it was cool.
kinds of music? well, almost anything but rap... hmmm, although most kinds of pop is my main thing.

I basically like any style of music, beside classical and most rap. I really love rock (any style)... I'm really into Keane, The Goo Goo Dolls, and any sort of easy listening-rock right now. Muse will always remain my all time favorite, though...
So yeah... I love a TON of bands, like The Killers, Hawk Nelson, Anberlin, Family Force 5, The Myriad, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, The All American Rejects, Snow Patrol, Carbon Leaf, and a ton of bands nobody has heard of... lol.
Oh, and I usually listen to my music before I buy it. Sometimes I buy it sight unseen... but not very often. I at least need to know what the band sounds like or have heard one of their songs before. I'll at least listen to the sample on iTunes first...

I love music... though playing it for me brings more joy than listening to it.
I ALWAYS listen to the music, research the lyrics, etc... before buying it. I've had bad experiences where I didn't... yeah...

^Yes! I remember last year when I was simply OBSESSED with the song Starlight by Muse... I still love it, but not as much as I did before... I almost swooned when I heard it live... lol!

Yes, it's possible to be in love with a song...
I have tons of songs that will just "appear" all of a sudden and I'll fall in love with them.
Currently it's "Changing World" by Kutless:
I thought I had it all under control I thought my fate was still in my hands All of my plans were firmly set By the words that I say
I forgot how quickly things can change Now my vision can not be the same
[CHORUS:] My life is not what I thought I'm not where I planned to be Though something's gone There's nothing wrong with my changing world Though something's gone There's nothing wrong with my changing world
I need to let go of my destiny I need to trust in things unseen I believe in having faith Though I yield my control
I forgot how quickly things can change Now my vision can not be the same
[BRIDGE:] I'm embracing all of my fears I am watching them turn to delight The very fears which were gripping my mind Are now the hands shaping and sculpting my dreams

^Ooo, very nice! I like the acoustic guitar. I've actually never listened to HIM before, they sound pretty good from what i've heard.
I know what you mean by being in love with a singers voice... Some just have lovely ones that you can't get enough of... haha

Personality is most of it for me.
The personality of a guy could make me hate them, be neutral, or absolutely love them...

That's probably how it is for most people. I don't care how amazing-looking a guy is...if he's a jerk, I'll have absolutely no interest in him.

What annoys me is how sometimes guys can act like gentlemen, then the next day they'll be complete jerks... one guy I know never talks directly to me unless he needs something (meaning if he says hi to people in the group I'm with at the moment, I get ignored)... but he helps set me up when I'm playing with the praise team at youth group...
Guys will be guys, though...

^ My guy FRIENDS are nice... Two tease me a lot, the other teases and argues and at the same time still manages to be very gentlemanly. And another is just like a big brother.
