Ellethwen gazed at Taurvantian for long moments before she replied. "Ellethwen of Lorien," she said. Her voice was quiet, but not unconfident. The ring of the Lorien accent was clear in her voice. "I am a traveller." She said no more, she felt no need to defend herself to him. Her dark gaze rested on him again; it was impossible to tell what she was thinking.

[ Shall I wait with posting until you both had the time to get a post up ? It would be a shame if both of our hosts would fall behind ]

[thanks Ara here's my bio, hope it's ok! I decided to go with a human,if that's alright? Thought it might be easier.]
Name: Dawn Age: 24 Gender: Female Race: Human Appearance: Curly brown hair, blue eyes, very pale skin, quite short; stands at about 4’9” She tends to be dressed in light colours, creams, blues, and greens but usually has a dark hooded cloak with/on her. Personality: Bubbly and friendly. Far too trusting, will trust anyone within minutes. Eager to help people. Weapons: A small silver dagger and a sword when needed. Isn’t the best at wielding her sword, but she knows enough to get by. History: Was born and raised in Gondor by her mother who died when Dawn was 20. Not much of an interesting life, she stayed in Gondor until she was 23 when she decided to leave and travel. She found herself in Mirkwood and has been there for six months, learning about the elves.

[[sorry this week is going to be rather slow, so try to keep the RP slow for now if you could. I am so eager to get started but I don't want to get behind because I have so much school and work ><]]
Ryninial knocked on the large wooden door that lead into Thranduil's study, her flaxen curls were tied back in a low bun on her head, errant strands fighting to get out of the clip that held it together and falling down her back and over her shoulders. She had heard word from some of the Mirkwood guards that they had unforseen visitors in their forest.
For the safety of all Thranduil was to be informed every time someone or something passed the borders, it was the only way to keep their lands safe from the ever growing darkness.
"Come in..." A noble lyrical voice called out and Ryninial opened the door

Legolas set his bow down on the ground and gathered up all of the arrows from the three varying sized and distanced targets before returning to the starting point. It wasn't until he had his bow up and ready did he feel the eyes of others upon him.
A golden head turned to look over his shoulder to see his older brother and sister watching him. "You need not stand so far away, I am not that bad that you are in any threat" He teased, his siblings always found a way to calm him down even if they said or did nothing, just their mere presence soothed him.

( I would like to join as Legolas's sister!)
Name: Deawen
Race: Elf
Age: 834
Appearance: Long blonde hair, with soft blue eyes. Slim build almost willowy.
Attitude: gentle most of the time except when she wants to play, which is often.
Skills: Deawen loves horses and has prefected her riding to match her favorite weapons. She is an adept Archer and is handy with daggers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Deawen sat nearby her siblings, in a tree. She watched Legolas shoot and after he was finished she called out "Almost." she giggled slightly as he was the better archer than she, but she still liked to tease him, after all she was younger than him. She dropped silently to the ground and walked over smiling. " With a few more years you will be as good as an archer like me!" she said.
Dawn walked outside and looked around, a smile on her face. It still amazed her how different Mirkwood was to Gondor and the rest of the lands in middle earth she had visited on her travels. She began to walk, heading no where in particular, just wandering around, admiring the beauty around her.
[hope that was okies ]
Mirima smiled at Legolas as he turned to look at them. "We don't want to disturb you," she said, teasingly, a sunny glint in her sky-blue eyes. She looked over as Deawen, her younger sister, dropped down from the tree she had been seated in and added, "yes, Deawen's impossible to beat." She gave one of her high, rippling laughs. Mirima hardly ever took anything seriously, and she loved to laugh.
(I'll try and keep my RPing slow, Pandora and Ara!  )
Maethoriel halted and looked to the side, glaring viciously at large tree as if it physically assaulted her. From behind the tree a gray cloaked man with a pointed blue hat stepped out. He looked tired and weary save for his blue eyes that shone brightly from under the brim of his hat, but that look quickly changed.
Disapproving eyes met angry ones. Gandalf and Maethoriel had known each other for many years as they both seemed to run about in the same circle of plans. At one time they had been friends, but now a thread of mistrust wound between them and they were only friends when it was convenient for them both.
"Narylfiel," he addressed the ragged woman by the name he had first known her as.
"Maethoriel, now, Olorin," she responded dryly beginning to walk once more.
"Appropriate. Both meanings," he said shortly taking up her stride, leaning heavily on his cane as he did when something troublesome weighed on his mind.
"I thought so." Maethoriel gave the man a hint of a smile although it did not quite reach her eyes - the gesture never really did she was rarely sincere, but there was something new about the woman he could not place.
"You seem over weary," the older man offered trying to think of things to speak on as they continued towards Thranduil's.
"As do you. What a pair we make," she said falling silent shortly after.
"Perhaps," he responded, looking about the woods for any danger. "Should be there before the sun falls," he observed looking to the woman who only nodded in response. She knew that if she responded he would have to talk more - the wizard always had to have the last word, best to let him have it now.
Lalaith lowered the sword and looked judgingly at the man. He might not have attacked her in the first moments of their encounter but this strange looking creature still wore full armour and looked capable of overpoweirng her any moment he wanted.
A frown had appeared on her freckled face and in the dimn light of the forest she had an unhealthy appearance: sorrow, worry and loneliness had worn her out but had not diminished yet a sparkle of hope inside her.
"Tell me" she demanded "how will I know I can trust you? That you won't lead me to Dol Guldur or any other evil place?"
She clumsily sheated the sword, putting it away; there was no way she could keep up the pretence that she was a skilled sword-fighter.
[ Mae, I love how you portray Gandalf  Good job  ]
(I'll just post one short post today as to not get to far ahead of our hosts.  )
Sylied smilled at his sister's teasing of their brother. "Don't worry little brother, they are just jelous." Sylied grinned at his sisters in a playfull manner. "Soon you will be better than us all at the rate you practice."
---------------------------------------------------------
Zekiera bowed his head and hunched his back as he let out a deep, groaning breath.
"The forest moans of the evils that sweep in with the mist... a song of gloom it sings."
He breathed in sharply and looked back up. "I am on my way to the elves to report my findings. Do not trust me, but chose to follow or stay. I depart in peace."
He turned and headed off into the woods.
