[[Sounds good Pandora.. I'll be busy with school as well... but come the holidays, I'll have 11 days off for Christmas vacation. ]]
-----------
"Fine Talathion, while you are busy with the guards, Estel and I are going to have a race." Aramel grinned over at the younger man the humans called Aragorn; albeit he was a human himself, Aramel had grown close to him, as though he were her younger, adventurous brother. They had spent many days playing in the sun and walking the gardens of Rivendell for the past 70-some years.
"What?" Aragorn blinked. He shifted in his saddle, looking a bit nervous. "Aramel - I don't think a race is appropriate right now --"
"Come, Dunedan - I know you would never deny a challenge," she teased. "Especially one of my challenges. Do not lead me to think that humans are weak..." She pet Bree's mane and the horse snorted softly.
"Aramel - "
"Ready, Estel? Go!" And with that, the elf woman took off on horseback, urging Bree on with commands in Elvish. With a bit of reluctance, Aragorn took off after her, a part of him wanting to prove to her that he was more than willing to meet her challenge with a victory of his own. Aramel disappeared down the dirt road, passing Lalaith and Zekiera without a second glance.
"Pardon us!" Aragorn called back to the pair, while keeping an eye on Aramel, who was already a good distance down the path.
Talathion watched his sister and the mortal ride away. Rolling his eyes, he spoke under his breath, "Fools. They will only get themselves hopelessly lost." With a sigh, he followed the other two, but at a slower pace.

[[For those of you who don't know, Aragorn was called Estel by the Elves I only recently found that out and I just wanted to make sure everyone else knew. ]]

[ Well during the highlights of my Aragorn fandom, which is some time ago but not over yet, I read every source I could lay my hands on, concerning my dear Ranger. So I knew ]
Lalaith was confused at this man's strange talk. If he was not evil than surely he had to be mad. Alarmed, that he suddenly turned and ran off into the forest, the woman scanned the forest. Was this some kind of trick? Could she trust him or not? She had to decide quickly for the longer she waited the harder it would be to trace him.
Perhaps luckily for Lalaith she didn't have to let go of her suspicions to follow a stranger, for two horseriders suddenly appeared out of nothing.
She pressed herself to the flank of her horse, petrified, and was only missed by an inch by the first rider. Expecting the horsemen to have plotted some kind of attack Lalaith was surprised that the last one called out "Pardon us" while flying right past her without returning.
With her heart pounding in her chest, looking quite lost, Lalaith sank on her knees. This forest terrified her, with strangers who jumped from trees and crazy horsemen.. the only thing she hadn't come across yet were the jinxes from the old stories. One thing was sure though, she had lost her guide...

Deawen shrugged "I'll give him that he is good with a bow." she said lightly. Deawen stared off into the gloomy forest, staring at something far away. Without word she wandered in that direction. It was common for her to leave without warning and pursue some unheard summonings. It was quite awhile before she came to her "destination". She was startled slightly when she came across a human(Lalaith), one she didn't know.
"Hello," she said cheerfully.

Taurvantian stared at Ellethwen for a moment, strangely entranced by her dark and level gaze. A short minute later and he came to his senses again, and bowed deeply to her. "So you are from Lorien? We are not graced with visitors from that area often..." he said, lacking something better to say to her yet wanting to know more about the reason for her journey. The gaze which was still fixed on him, like the star-kissed night sky, troubled, confused, and surprised him all at once.

Ellethwen watched as Taurvantian bowed to her. Unsmiling, she inclined her head, noting his expression. She turned her head slightly, looking in the other direction. A dark blue hood was pulled over her head. When her gaze returned to look back at the Mirkwood elf, she finally spoke. "I have given you my name, I would like to know yours," she said. Her voice remained in a soft pitch. The dark blue eyes still studied him intently.

"Y..yes, begging your pardon, m'lady," the elf replied, mentally chiding himself for his rudeness. "They call me Taurvantian." He nodded his head after he spoke, a certain pride coming back into his demeanor. A little of his natural boldness was beginning to enter into his spirit again.
He straightened and looked around them, and then turned his gaze back in her direction. "Where are you going, if I may so bold as to ask?"

[ Dea- I'm a bit confused on how Deawen could have met Lalaith since she was quite far from the Elves somewhere in the Mirkwood.. So I'll have her follow the others, you in turn could follow Lalaith if you wish..? ]
Pull yourself together Lalaith scolded at herself. You turned down the first being that offered you help, don't loose the second..
The golden-haired woman swung her leg over the back of her horse in order to mount and whispered soft words in his ear to urge him into a gallop. The people of Rhovanion raised horses and were skilled riders (they later became known as the ancestors of the Rohirrim- and Lalaith also shared this passion of her people, enjoying the sense of freedom while riding. Yet now she could hardly keep up, let alone catching up with the two horsemen ahead. Her horse had, like her, suffered from the long journey and needed rest and water. Her own muscles cried for relief as she encouraged her horse in a faster gallop. But her mind was set. She would not stop. No.. this time she wouldn't let go..

Legolas ignored his sisters' teasing and turned to his brother who he looked up to. His brother was someone he felt closest to and knew if he could not talk to his father about something then Sylied would be there to lend a pointed ear. "Hannon le, Gwador-nin" [thank you, my brother] Legolas smirked as he placed his hand on his brothers shoulder. "I can not help but practice all the time, Father says an evil is coming and I must be prepared to fight."
------------
Ryninial stood a step behind her king, she had informed King Thranduil of the people who have come into the realm of Mirkwood and he had dropped everything he was doing to greet these unforseen visitors. He could only hope that they did not pose a threat, he was not prepared for any danger that might infiltrate so close to his home.

((grand! Goldy, Deawen, you both remember Tur from WOTJ. This is his son.
Name: Megildurion
Age: 6, 501
Race: Noldorin Elf
Hieght: 6' 5''
Parentage: Turwaithion of the Noldor and Silwen of the Sindar
Siblings: Narwen
Physical Description: Megildurion is pale, with dark brown hair and grey eyes. His nose is crooked from a blow sustained in the Sack of the Havens of Sirion, the only remnant of a much worse wound.
Garb: Megildurion wears the grey cloak and robes of a Lothlorien Marchwarden, his home since the War of the Elves and Sauron. He wears a signet ring bearing the crest of his house, that doubles as an added weight in brawling.
Weapons: Megildurion carries a Sindarin Spear, one his father salvaged from the armouries of Doriath when it was sacked by the Sons of Feanor, a short sword forged by the Lothlorien bladesmiths, and a hunting dagger.
Pesonality: Once headstrong, Megildurion is now a cool, calculating Elf, inhereting his mothers' tempernment along with her hair. He prefers a 'plan, act, review' motto as opposed to a frontal, blunt method, making him an excellent teacher.
Animals: A white elf horse named Istuion, after his father's guardian
Homeland: Doriath
History: Megildurion was born several years after the Second Kinslaying, when his parents fled Doriath with several others. Eventually, Megildurion's family settled at the Mouths of the Sirion with survivors of Gondolin and other atrocities. It was there that Megildurion's sister Narwen was born, and where the two grew up.
When Megildurion was 80, the Sons of Feanor raided the Havens, and his father Turwaithion left his family to fight. Sneaking away, Megildurion stole his father's spear and fought the Sons of Feanor, until his father found him in the rout, nearly killed by a glancing mace blow from a Feanorian warrior. Fleeing, Turwaithion and his family were sheltered by Cirdan, where Megildurion recovered from his wounds and matured to adulthood.
Years later, Megildurion joined his father in the War of Wrath, where they fought valiantly against the people of Morgoth. After the Drowning of Beleriand, Turwaithion led Megildurion and his family to follow Lady Galadriel to Lindon under King Gil-Galad's banner. In Lindon, Megildurion met his wife Arasinya, whith whom he later had three children; Alassiel, Idrial, and Beriothien.
During the War of the Elves and Sauron, Megildurion fought on the borders of Lindon with his father as a Marchwarden, and later in the War of the Last Alliance as a soldier in the Army of Laurelindornan.
After the War, Megildurion, Arasinya, and thier children dwelt in Lothlorien under Lady Galadriel, and Megildurion was placed as a Marchwarden on the northern border with his father. His sister Narwen soon left the Golden Wood to learn at Imladris, where she still dwells. When Megildurion grew resless on the relatively untroubled borders, Turwaithion sent him to Mirkwood.))

[[Great to have you with us, Turwaithion. ]]
"Estel, you have grown slow! Can you not keep up?" Aramel turned to see that he was still trailing behind, but would be, quite literally, on her tail if she could not urge Bree to go faster. The hoofbeats behind her seemed less distant and she caught the muzzle of his horse out of the corner of her eye. Of course she had not expected Aragorn's sudden burst of speed, galloping up on her left and urging his brown steed forward. Aramel watched with a smile beginning to form at the corners of her lips - she had let him win, or so she told herself. Or perhaps she was becoming too old for such childplay, as Talathion had told her. But as much as she loved her brother, she could not contain her adventurous nature.
Aragorn yanked on the reins of his horse and skidded to a halt as two elves appeared in his path. Aramel slowed Bree to a trot as she also approached the two; a younger girl and an older man, clad in grey with a crown of leaves upon his head. This was Thranduil, the King of Mirkwood, that they had nearly trampled in their wake. But the other girl, Aramel could not recognize. Dismounting her horse, she bowed before them. "Goheno nin (forgive me), King Thranduil... My companion and I were just seeing whom was the better horseman... we meant no disrespect," Aramel spoke, soft and low. Aragorn bowed his head; he had never seen King Thranduil; only heard great tales of Greenwood the Great in Elrond's halls on dreary nights when no stars were seen. Such tales had mystified him and now he would watch and wait to see what would unfold before him.
Talathion had now come to join the two, shaking his head in disappointment. "Both of you must learn control; your foolishness may very well land you in troulbe one day. "Suilaid (greetings), Lord Thranduil, telin o Imladris (I/we am/are from Rivendell). We have been sent by Lord Elrond to deliever you a message."

Megildurion urged his horse faster through the trees. The feeling was exhiliarating, after so many years in boredom. He picked out several Elves clustered, and slowed Istuion, whispering. "Mae govannen." He called, raising his spear in greeting to the others. "I bring greeting from Lothlorien. My name is Megildurion." He said, dismounting and bowing.

Ryninial picked up the sound of hooves coming rather quickly in their direction. The cautious side of her told her that they should flee, but the more rational side explained that there was no harm in the elves that approached, elves and human she deduced when the riders came close enough that she could pick them out with her elven eyes.
Thranduil too noticed the approaching riders and yet he did not flinch. Instead he stood proud cloaked in the gray of his Kingdom. A bed of leaves rested around his golden hair that flowed freely down his back.
To those that did not know Thranduil some would say that he was intimidating, his very being was a sight to see and yet those that did know the strong King knew that he had a heart as well.
Listening to the riders he knew that they were of no threat to his kingdom and for that he was glad. "Mae Govannen. I do hope your travels were safe, these borders have been dark of late and I fear that soon these woods will no longer be safe to travel in." He spoke the direness of the situation before stepping forward to the last rider.
"Word from Elrond you say. I do hope the news is welcoming."
