Mallory slowed her pace so that Hiro could keep up with her. Adrenaline was racing through her veins and she was now just in a hurry so that she would not change in the middle of the park - her skin felt itchy, like it did not fit anymore.

"Why? Because...if those people are chasing you then we need to be somewhere safe, and I do not want them following me back to my home. I have to protect the rest of my family, and I trust Maven to come up with something to help us out..." she had not actually decided what her cousin could do for her except provide a hiding spot, but Mave was fairly clever...maybe something would spark her muse.

"They might not be chasing me. Remember the girl that jumped into the air when the guys in suites showed up? The guys are from the Company. They go after people with powers," Hiro said, "I've delt with them before, but that was a long time ago."

Hiro wasn't having too much of a hard time keeping up, but lately he had just been sitting behind a desk all day since the company he inherrited from his father started having trouble wish bankruptsy(sp?), and so he was getting out of shape.

And it was then that he noticed that through the whole mess he had dropped his coffee and now it was all over his once shiney black shoes. Shrugging, he just kept following the girl. It had been awhile since he had been on an adventure to be a hero. And it was on that last adventure that he and Ando finally stopped doing things together and lost communication alltogether(if this is alright with who's playing Ando. And I was thinking of having a reunion between the two)...

"If you have dealt with them before then if they see you they will follow you, right? Not to mention...I kinda sorta fall into the category of having a power," She replied awkwardly. Her tone was deliberately slow, and she was taking deep breaths to calm herself now (and failing). Clenching and unclenching her fist to give her mind something to concentrate on.

"We are almost there anyway. See!" She exclaimed pointing to a high rise at the corner of the street across from the park.

"Hm... your right. And I'm not supprised. More and more people have been showing up with powers, and not to mention they've made a formula to give people powers," Hiro said, as he kept following her.

He looked across the street where she was pointing and nodded.

She turned to Hiro and nodded with a strained smile somewhat out of sorts as she really wanted to hurry.

"Well that is wonderful and all," she said in a strained voice, clutching her bag tightly, "but I do not have a change of clothes...oh screw it," she said thoroughly annoyed with having to wait any longer. Thrusting the bags into Hiro's hands, "Hold these," she ordered and then stalked off behind a bush so he wouldn't see anything while she changed.

She let out a relieved sigh even as she felt her spine elongate. Then came pain, her muscles spasmed as they contracted. After two minutes she snorted and shook her newly lengthened ears. From behind the bush came a coppery colored mutt with one floppy ear.

A dog is appropriate, right? Everyone brings dogs to the park.

Mallory felt much better in this form, if anyone came along she was camouflaged and faster if they found her out. She let out an excited bay to let Hiro know it was her and nudged his hand to get back her bag of boots.

Hiro was supprised to get a bag shoved into his arms and watched Mallory walk away out of sight, and wondered what was going on. For the while he stood there, clueless until a dog with a floppy ear trotted up and bayed at him then nudged his hand.

"Mallory? So you shape shift. Thats a power I haven't seen before," he said, and noticed that she wanted the bag back. "Don't you think it'd be weird for people to see a dog walking around with a bag?"
