Hello everyone! I'm Aerwen Skywalker, A-Uer for over three-and-a-half years. I joined this board at the age of fourteen, at the height of my LotR craze, and am still a proud member at the age of eighteen. At one point, this forum was my second home. A place where I could always find comfort and friends, and unleash my imagination in some fantastic RPs. I can honestly say that I would not be the same person I am if it weren't for the people here on A-U.

Alas, sadly my 3.5 year membership was interrupted by a rather extended leave of absence, which I still haven't been able to 'recover' from. I was involved in an RP which included some...rather inappropriate content, and was so upset that I left. But thankfully, after a shamefully long time away, I've found that I miss this place too much to stay away. I'm nowhere near as active as I was a year or two ago, but hope to remedy that little problem sometime soon. =)

I'll never forget the friends I've made on here - Anneth, Pearl, Isty, Elen, Raven, Falath, Amoniel, Pippin, and numerous others I know I'm forgetting in my old age. So naturally, when I read the e-mail about the reunion, I almost bounced off the walls. The idea of being able to [s]see[/s] talk to all of you again was almost too good to be true.

So here I am, back on the forum where my madness all started.

@ Aerwen: Oooo yeah i remember; i was in a really good RP at the time and had all these great ideas. Becuase i'm in the UK and laods of the people i RP'd with in that were USA i would post in the evening, think of my next posts' direction and then when i came back the next evening everyone else would have posted. AND THE FORUM CRASHED AND I WAS STUCK!

@ JF: I seem to remember we were protesting against mods delateing posts and over effisiouseness in some areas. And omg yeah the pink duckies of doom!!!!!! I remember them!

hey guys! wow, it's been so long since i've been on here that i cant even remember what my current sig set is.

anyway...my name is ethelfleda (after the grandaughter of king alfred and onetime ruler of mercia). i joined in about september 2006, but i haven't been around for about a year now. i didn't intend to leave, it's just that life got a bit mad so i didn't really have time. i'd been thinking about popping in again, so i was really pleased when i heard about the reunion. it's been really nice browsing through and seeing so many people i remember. i just hope someone remembers me!

in case no-one does, and for any newbies, i guess i should tell a little about myself. i'm 20 years old, and i live in yorkshire in england (i'm actually from the midlands, but moved north a couple of months ago). i'm currently unemployed, as i had to quit my previous job in order to move and haven't found another one since, but hopefully that situation will be rectified soon. having previously left university halfway through an english degree, i'm now considering (and praying about) going back to uni to read theology and possibly train to be a minister (once i've worked for a while and saved a bit of money). i love reading (i'm particularly interested in 20thC fiction, medieval literature and folk stories), writing (mainly poetry, drama and very short stories), watching dance (i wish i could dance myself, but unfortunately everytime i start classes the school closes or i move away), going to the theatre (everything from shakespeare to contemporary dance), watching films (especially old films and musicals), playing the flute (i especially enjoy playing folk and baroque), and listening to music (my tastes are pretty eclectic). i also enjoy visiting museums and art galleries when i get the chance (the tate modern and treasures exhibit at the british library in london are amazing). i also appear to have a penchant for brackets!

there, i think that's enough for now. it's good to be back, and i look forward to hopefully catching up with people.

Hi, everyone. I'm Elenanna Lothenedhel, Elen for short, and I've been a member of A-U for nearly four and a half years, joining the old proboards forum. There I was introduced to RPing, and that became an obsession. I was here for the forum change and the crash of '05. I was an observer for the WT vs NC war. I then left during the summer because I was busy preparing for college, in which I am now and Undeclared Engineering Technology major at RIT in New York.

From A-U I've gained friendships-Morwen, Aerwen, Istelelth and Anneureth, Pearl, Pippin, Frodo, Falathiel, and several others who's names escape me right now. I've also gained a love for graphics, as I found that we had Photoshop in 2005, and been usiong it since.. (currently using PS CS2, but will hopefully upgrade soon)

Well that's all I can think of right now..so..I'm glad to be back at AU!

Ethelfleda:: Where s your Eowyn banner?? I used to recognise you by them! I've so truly missed you. Where have you been? I thought university ate your life but it seems so many things happened, and you moved? I hope you're alright and that you maybe feel like returning to us. Elenanna:: Yay, for another returning member! Where have you been all this long time? Do you have any intentions of sticking around for more than the Reunion?

I can only participate today since I'm going on New Year's vacation tomorrow. I'm going back to Spain where I studied abroad for spring semester, and I'm, really excited!
I've been a member since I signed up on the old forum, and like I said, I've been here on/off during all those long years... sometimes more than others but I have never been absent. I think one of the reasons is that I never obsessed too much over being here, so the forum and the people here have just grown and adjusted to my life all the time, but don't get me wrong, it's not that I don't appreciate it... It's become a faithful companion, a really good and old friend who is always here and I think it's grown to hold a very special place in my heart now!
Alright, I'm gonna check in here later today before I leave and then when I come back again. And hopefully there will be greetings from even more returning members!

Did you say the moors? Well, I'm sure its lovely and beautiful.. but I'm traumatised by the evil Brontë sisters!! My friend who's an English major recommended Wuthering Heights to me and I still haven't recovered from the read! And over Christmas I've seen Jane Eyre, the BBC series - and it's quite disturbing... why can't there be anything good and true in those books, lol!
Ehm.. look at me... right back into one of our literary discussions again... see, I've missed you!

Hello hello everyone! Yay, I see some names I recognize! Lar, you're stupendous for putting this all together. Oh, I just love seeing all these people again! It makes me feel like a youngling.

Well, I'm Nurr. I joined as Nurrantiel, switched right about my one year anniversary to Mashiara, but the name Nurr stuck (and I always thought of myself like it), so I stuck them together. And my 3 year anniversary is just a little over a month away. Wow, I feel quite old.

Hm, what else? Right now I'm attending college (well, not right now because we're on break) going for a degree in New Media - hopefully I can be an animator or work on the digital stuff in movies. Art is a lot less hectic than other majors, so I don't plan on leaving you all anytime soon.

Hello hello hello all! I thought I might as well join in this fun introducing and reintroducing buisiness ^_^ Hooray!
Okay, well I'm Goldleaf, more commonly known as Goldy by most! I've been a member of A-U for one year, and very honoured to be part of this LOTR-loving community!
I'm 16 (17 in April) and I LOVE LOTR, with all my heart My three favourite characters are Eowyn, Faramir, and Gandalf. I adore the books (my favourite chapter is "The Steward and the King" in ROTK <3) and the films. ^_^
Hmm... what else is there to say?
Well, I love RPing (I can be found in the Caras Galadhon section a lot of the time) and graphic making ^_^ Yes, A-U introduced me to Photoshop! It rocks Gandalf's wizard socks! Wait, do wizards wear socks? Hmm, best to leave that subject... I might get a little too enthusiastic pondering about it. (They wear boots, right? Well, wouldn't they itch without socks? O_o) Ahem.
Anyhoo! Ramble ended! Yay for the A-U reunion!
