((Alright, finally starting! *coughinsteadofdoinghomeworkcough* Just start off with your char heading to school or already there, and we will go from there! :)))

SPLASH!

Cold water hit his face and awoke Kvothe with a frightened start. Kvothe looked up, bewildered, his dark black hair falling into his eyes, dripping with chilled water. He looked up to see a woman standing over him, an empty bucket in her hand.

"Boy, you dare sleep under my roof again, and I will turn you into the cops. Understand??"

Kvothe looked up at her at he stood, his shirltess chest becoming slightly wet as his hair dripped down his neck. He picked up his shirt that he used as a pillow, which was soaked now, and nodded, causing dripplets of water to fall onto the ground.

"Of course. I apologize. I promise it will not happen again, ma'am." The woman's expression grew soft, and her eyes looked over him as if for the first time. After a moment, her eyes fell upon a dark bruise that was placed on the left side of his ribs, mixed with many different colors of the rainbow. Worry came over her face, and she asked quietly,

"What are you doing here, son? What happened to you?" Kvothe shook his head and looked up at the sky. The sun was barely over he horizon, and he knew school was going to start soon. He had to be leaving.

"I have to go - I have no business here." With that, Kvothe ran, shirt in hand, and ran fast. He ran down the sidewalk, with no shoes or socks to cover his feet, and he ran a few blocks before turning the corner, and into an alley. He slowed to a walk and came up to an old fence at the end of an alley. He bent down and pulled out an old bag from the dirt; in it held a pair of socks, shoes, and extra pair of jeans and T-shirt, along with all his school things. He sighed heavily as he slipped on some socks and shoes, and then he hung out his wet shirt over the fence to dry, putting on his other black shirt. He sighed heavily as he slung the bag over his shoulder.

"Time for school." He muttered, and started walking.

"Chris!" Silence. "Christina" More silence. "CHRISTINA MORGAN!"

Something sounding like a stampede running down the stair case followed and brown headed Christina Morgan rushed into the kitchen. She looked quite comical bouncing on one foot trying to slip a shoe on the other. "Morning, Mom," Chris said slightly breathless from her fight with the shoe.

"Morning, Chris. You're breakfast is on the table. Your carpool just arrived. Hurry up," her mother replied eying her daughter. To say that Chris was not a morning person would be an understatement, and Mrs. Morgan frequently saw her daughter rushing out to meet the carpool at the last minute. She'd tried to help her daughter be on time, but something would just never change.

"Thanks, see you later!" Christina grabbed the pastry and rushed out the door. Munching on the pastry, Chris loaded up into the car with some friends and was whisked off to school. Pastries: one of the reasons Chris loved having a mom that ran a catering business. She listened with only slight interest to the gossip the other girls passed around. She was more interested in the pastry in her hand.

Christina walked into school fifteen minutes later. A familiar chaos swirled around her. She stuffed her books except her science book and headed off to her science class. So began another ordinary day in the like of Christina Morgan.

Agatha groaned as her alarmclock started yelling at her to wake up and get ready for school. She pulled her pillow over her flamed colored hair and covered her ears to try and get a few more minutes of sleepy solitude. When that didn't help, she threw the pillow at the bright red digital numbers, toppling over all the contents of her side table to the floor. Book, lamp, clock, cup of water, container of medications, small radio, all went crashing to the floor.

But at least the annoying beeping stopped. The redhead remained curled up under the warm covers, away from the cold air of the room. At least cold for the moment. With the space between her eyes narrowing in a scowl of concentration, the air in her room slowly became warmer to a comfortable temprature of close to 80 degrees farenheit.

With a groan she pulled herself out of bed and stumbled around the room, pulling jeans, brown shirt, converse, and blue guitar-covered hoodie onto her sluggish body. She ran her brush through her mess of a head of hair and pulled it into a ponytail. Along with her wardrobe complete with studded beld and black armbands, she wore a cresent moon shaped necklace.

Grabbing a granola bar on her way out of the house after making sure her dad was already at work, Agatha trotted to school. Her house was only a few blocks from the school, so the walk was no problem. Upol entering school, she made her way to her locker where she dropped off most of her books. The inside was littered with stray pieces of paper covered in sketches and doodles of different things from horses, to people, from swords, to roses, and birds, dragons, and some abstract images that could have been a different thing to every person who looked at it...

Cadvan Pheonix was outside his dorm when the sun rose, skillfully swinging around his staff like the master he was. He stopped to rest, but only for a moment as the sun started to peek up above the roof of his dorm.

His cellphone rang. He opened it to hear his mother's voice screech at him.

"WHERE ARE YOU SON! You haven't visited yet! Your Father's starting to wonder what kind of trouble you've gotten yourself into!! I hope you're doing fine. How's engineering? How are you? Have you been practicing with that staff lately? Don't get rusty!! Hope to see you soon.

Love, Mom."

He gave a sigh and put his staff away as he made a mental note to call his mother later. Frowning, he gave another longing gaze towards the sun, grabbed his bag, and headed off to school.

The train rolled up to view, to the relief of Clara Robson. She quickly finished the pastry that served as her breakfast as the bus squeaked to a halt, the stale taste blighting her tongue. She boarded the train, one among a crowd of men and women in suits and lattes. She looked around for an empty seat...which was just as likely as winning the lottery in the morning traffic. However, a man wearing a dirty overcoat and holding a grime-ridden newspaper stood up, allowing Clara to claim his seat. Probably thinks I'm cute, she thought as she sat down, clutching her bag close to her chest.

Her stop was two stations from the one that she boarded one. Her eyes wandered vaguely from outside the window to the throng of people that came and went. When her stop came, she stood up and walked off the train, oblivious to the pair of eyes that followed her out. The school was another few blocks away from the station. While far from her house, it was one of the better schools and it offered a lovely drama program. She sighed as the train left for the next station behind her, rather weary of the repetitive routine in life. She walked down the stairs in the station and into the life of a student.

"Oh, good morning. Good morning. We've talked the whole night through. Good morning. Good morning. It's great to stay up late..." Sandra sung to herself as she finished up her daily morning shower. The steam had fogged up the mirror, and she wiped it off with the washcloth on the counter to inspect herself in the mirror. Everything looked fine. With that, she splashed her face with cold water, washed it with moisturizer, brushed her teeth, flossed, put on make up, and finished all of the long standing essentials to do in the morning.

About a half an hour later, she was out of the bathroom and headed back to her room to get dressed. She always laid out her clothes the night before. Otherwise, she would surely be late for school. Putting on her turquoise sequined top on and white jeans, Sandra let down her loose curls for the day and added the final touch to her makeup: turquoise eye shadow.

"Bye mom!" Sandra shouted, darting out the door to her yellow beetle and humming the final verse of Good Morning over and over again. The school was doing Singing in the Rain as a play to raise money for the Unicef, and, a week ago, it was announced that she would be the lead female role of the play. Therefore, she practiced singing all of the sounds in her harmonic voice, hitting each note right on cue.

Out side the sky was a dark, anxious gray. Thunder rumbled angrily and bazes of cruel, sharp lightening cut through the clouds. Jacob was normally one for storms (they were comforting, and he loved listening to them at night when he was falling asleep) but fear stole any enjoyment he could have gotten from this storm. He was utterly lost, with no idea of how to get home, or where he even was. Not only that, but he was being followed. NO, followed was too weak of a word. Chased, or hunted worked better. he was being hunted by a monster he couldn't see. Terror overwhelmed him as he tried to run, but his feet stuck to the ground. He forced himself to take a step, but he could barely even scoot forward. It was like he was trying to run through waist deep mud. But he had to run! The monster was coming up behind him! He let out a cry, a scream of fright, in hopes that someone might hear him, but his voise was muffled, stuttering from his mouth as nothing more than a soft, pleading moan. Oh, he had to run! He had to get away! He could feel the cold, fierce eyes of the monster behind him, ready to devour and preform other gruesome deeds. Jacob felt the warm, moist breath of a giant on his back. The monster reached down and--

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP

Jacob woke with a start, making a wild grab for his alarm clock. Device in hand, he quickly turned of the obnoxious alarm and slumped back into bed. Hugging the covers around him for warmth, he suddenly remembered he frantic dream. With facination he replayed the sequence in his head, dissapointed that there were so many gaps in a memory that happened only moments ago. Finally gaining the strength of will to get out of bed, Jacob quickly pulled on his clothes and lumbered down the stairs, still clumbsy from tiredness. His father grinned at him, a little too peppy this early in the morning. With a groan Jacob sat down at the table, too tired to be hungry.

"Coffee?" His dad offered, waving a mug of the steaming liquid. Jacob tentivley took a sip. The scalding liquid burned Jacob's mouth, and the taste was horrendous. Leaping towards the sink, he spit out the coffee. "That's horrible" He croaked, taking a swig of cool tap water. "Did the cat pee that out?" He'd had coffee before and actually enjoyed it, but this stuff, whatever it was, tasted like mud.

His dad laughed. "Well, at least you're awake now. Its instant, that's why your precious little taste buds couldn't handle it." Taking one last gulp, his dad put down the mug and picked up his keys. "I'm off." He explained. See you later." His dad left for work, leaving Jacob to spend the 10 minutes alone. He spent it on the couch, praying for a sudden tornado to rip through town and send schools everywhere into a cancellation panic. It didn't happen. So, ten minutes later Jacob managed to pull himself into his beat up old car. The thing wasn't exactly pretty, but at least it moved. Flipping the radio to his favorite station, Jacob pulled out of the driveway and onto the road, heading towards school.

The parking lot was relatively empty when Jacob arrived, so he pulled into the closest spot. He climbed out of his car and walked towards his school.

((Naur, I think Jacob and Kvothe would make really good friends!!))

After only ten minutes or so, Kvothe could see the school over the hill and he quickly checked his appearance before he crossed over so everyone could see him. His black hair was finally drying and was shaggy, like he liked it, and he made sure his shirt covered all his bruises on his sides and back, as well as his pants from the bruises on the back of his calves. Thanks dad. He thought sourly as he slipped one more thing from under his shirt; his necklace. It was a cresant moon, pale and silver, and it hung on a simple silver chain. He had it ever since he could remember, and he never took it off. He smiled slightly as he smoothed his fingers over it, and then he slipped down the hill and down to the place where his life, that afternoon, would change forever.

What purpose did getting to school early really hold? She always seemed to be about thirty minutes early, and Chris really saw no point in it. All she did was sit at her desk and stare off into space and let her mind....

"Chris!"

"Huh, what?" Chris turned her head to see one of her friends, Jasmine, giving her an annoyed look.

"You are really in a fog this morning. That was like the fourth time I've called you."

She sounded annoyed too. "Sorry, didn't get much sleep. What did you want?" Chris asked trying to get her mind to focus back on the present.

"Well, we need to discuss this up coming dance..."

Chris tried not to roll her eyes as her friend droned on about the dance. Chris had worked really hard when she came into high school to break the image of her being a freak. She had succeeded, for the most part. It had meant some sacrifices, but they were worth it. There were only a few moments, like this one, where she kind of missed her solitude.

Agatha found herself much earlier to school than she expected. She had walked to school much faster than she had anticipated without realizing it. Trying to figure out what to do with herself, she placed herself on the stairs that led from the hall of lockers and freshman classes, and the higher classes. The redhead pulled her pack from her back, and pulled out her sketch book and pencil.

Idly she turned to a blank page half way through the book, and started sketching, starting with a light and rough outline, then slowly adding detail and more real, darker, shape to her sketch. It was a sketch of a woman, who an image of had just popped into her head randomly while thinking of something to draw. Agatha thought she recognized the pale figure, but couldn't remember from where.

With skill of years of practice the pencil was dragged across the smooth surface of the paper, leaving dark traces of it's passing over the white field. Soon she became so engrossed in her drawing, she hardly noticed as more people started showing up and filling the halls, getting ready to go to class...
