"So" Abby began, "What's the plan?"

"We need to rendevous with another old friend of my mothers, Forge" Kurt replied, memorising off all the details in his head. "He has a vehicle and some tech I need for the first part of the mission."

"Right" Abby nodded, "Can he be trusted?"

"More trustworthy than my mother." he grinned, "He is reliable. He'll be there."

"Then what, where do we go from there?" Abby asked, making sure there was no detail left unanswered. The mission was risky as it was, no need to make it worse than by going in blind.

"We then head over to Heaven and meet up with Warren and Scarlett." he cringed as he said the words, knowing full well the reaction they'd cause.

"WHAT?" Abby looked furious, as Kurt had expected.

"Please, Abby. Calm down, please. It's just for a map, nothing more nothing less. I know it's dangerous. I know it is risky. But we have no other means of gaining this information." he put his arms around her. "It is the only way."

Abby leant her head into his chest and sighed. "What...what if he's there? We're done for" she felt Kurt stroke her hair gently. "Okay...I'm still in. But the first sign of trouble, you bamf us the hell out of there, kay" she finished, looking up at his concerned face.

"Of course. I do not want any unecessary confrontation with any of Sinisters troops, least of all his precious sons."

Abby suddenly pulled away and muttered an obscenity. "I'm gonna need a dress and...aw hell I sound so lame."

Kurt laughed. "Not at all, my love." and bamfed her to her quarters.

I was cured all right.

"So, when are we leaving?" Kira piped up and looked over at Abby and Nightcrawler, who seemed astonished that Kira had even heard a word they were saying after her epic flame battle commenced.

"Do you seriously think I am going to let you two go at this alone? After all, I need an excuse to run away as quickly as possible before you-know-who returns." Kira smirked and patted the pocket with the lighter in it. She was just happy that this was one thing Flamethrower didn't know about. One-up for Kira Marshall.

Kurt looked at Kira with a serious look. The time for games was over, he had to get his head into soldier mode. "This is not about an escape from a squabble. This is a very important and dangerous mission. There can be no room for error, by any of us." he began as he clutched Abby's hand tightly, "This is a literal life or death scenario. Are you sure this is what you want?"

Abby looked at Kurt with love and admiration in her eyes.
"You know I'm with you, whatever happens. We're in this together"

The quadruplets watched the conversation, silent. Minna smiled sadly at Abby, Kurt and Kira, "So...I suppose you wouldn't want us to come then...but to let you know...we're willing to do whatever we can to help you."

Kurt paused as he thought over Minna's words. He looked to Abby, who smiled at him reassuringly. "They could be helpful" she said softly. He smiled back and nodded before turning back to the siblings.
"Your help is appreciated. However" he paused, his yellow eyes growing ever sombre, "When the time comes to infiltrate Heaven, Abby and I must go alone. Anymore than the two of us could raise an alarm and the mission will fail and we may well fall into enemy hands." his mood lightened a little, "There may be other things needed to do, but we'll get to that when the time comes. Now, if you need anything please, get it now. We must leave soon."

Minna nodded, smiling, silently thanking his acceptance of her and her siblings. "Thank you." Elendili spoke for them all, "We do not need nor have much to take. We are ready to follow you."

Kurt looked back at Kira, "The same to you. If there is anything you feel you need to bring along with you, get it now. There isn't much time to lose here."
He felt Abby's hand in his and smiled at her. "Did you get everything you needed?"

"Yeah I grabbed something from my closet and threw it into this bag. Hopefully it'll be suitable for Heaven." Abby replied, running her free hand through her black hair* and frowned.



*I know it's not major, but I decided to change her hair from blonde to black.

"I have all I need with me right now," Kira told Nightcrawler and stood up onto her feet, "So, what are we waiting for?"

Kurt smiled back at the enthusiasm of his new team mates. His mother would not have been pleased at Abby's appearance at his side, now he had 5 more unexpected companions. The thought of his mothers frustration made him smile all the more.
"Good, now that we're all ready we should leave now. Try and make up for some lost time. Forge is expecting us to arrive very soon. We should not keep him waiting any longer." he turned and began to walk out of the ruined gardens and onto the rubble of the old Graymalkin Lane. He looked around cautiously, after the attack on John's brother he didn't want any unpleasant surprise visitors. He turned to Abby and the others. "It's all clear. We should hurry and keep up pace."

Abby threw the small bags strap over her shoulder and hurried to Kurts side.
"How far till we reach Forge's hideout?"

"Should be somewhere in the center of Westchester. How he's managed to stay there so long I'll never know" Kurt replied, eyeing all around him making sure they were still clear.

"Are you sure this is on the level Elf?" Abby asked, still suspicious of Mystique and her motives. Kurt smiled at the nickname he was given by his old friend Weapon X, one Abby caught onto and never let go of it. "Not completely, we should all be prepared for anything....just incase"
