[That's fine Maeth, I'll add you down.]

"Aye." Replied Andrea. "But he's dead when Barbossa eventually finds him, and I'll tell you now, if I'm the one who ends up on the wrong end of his temper, I'll be second in line with a nice shiny dagger."
"It's your own fault Andrea, your always arguing with him! You shouldn't bait him so." Keeley chided.
"I guess, but it's not always me who starts it!"
"Girls! Please, you don't want to bring him down on us like a storm now do you?" Cameron interrupted.
Andrea sighed. "I'll give him an hour then I'll try and talk to him."

EDIT: [Ooop, sorry Will, only just saw your post.]

Barbossa slamed his cabin door behind him and stopped dead when he realised he wasn't alone in his cabin. He stopped and stared at the girl for a minute, taking in the blood and bruise on her face, she then motioned for him to enter, his own cabin no less, and he snapped.
"Who are ye and wha' the 'ell are ye doin' in me cabin?!" He exploded.

Richmond had spent the better part of the day trying his best to avoid people. A task which, given they were on a ship, wasn't particularly easy. But he'd been hearing various arguments all day, and he didn't much fancy being a part of them. People and their troubles, he thought angrily. They'll turn the simplest of things into a monumentous issue.

Granted, some of the problems were justified (namely the Captain's). He'd heard his reaction. It would've been rather impossible not to have heard it.

Richmond paced along the deck, three strides one way, turn, three strides the other, turn. If they were lucky, the Captain's anger would blow over soon enough. And if they weren't, then they weren't, and there was hardly anything they could do about that.

[No problem Lothy :P ]

Salma raised her eyebrows and watched the Captain as if she was highly offended that he didn't welcome her in a more civil way.
"Greetings" she smiled. "I was just admiring.. the grand view.." A simple hand wave made clear that she meant the room although her gaze still rested the man, from judging him from head to toe.
"But you look most stressed sir. Is there anything I can do to overcome that?" She winked and took another bite of her apple, wondering how much this man could take.

--

"Why so frustrated Richmond?" a voice came from a hammock. Nathaniel had been enjoying his few hours off duty below deck and did not witness the many quarrels above deck. And even if he'd been there, he would not mingle. Nathan was a man of few words and did not converse easily. But he liked Richmond, and as he was keeping him from sleeping, he had to ask why the man was so restless.

[Woops, Shadow, I misread something. I thought Richmond was below deck. Just ignore him if my post doesn't fit :P ]

Marianne listened as the others spoke. The captain's bad temper was famous, and everyone hoped that this particular setback would not be blamed on them that current day. Sparrow wasn't here, but they were; and as such they were walking targets for Captain Barbossa's rage. Marianne ran a hand through her blonde hair and clamped a pipe between her teeth. She had had a tobacco habit since she was eighteen; running a pub by herself, in effect, while John brooded upstairs over his books, his illness knawing away at him, had left her somewhat stressed.

Within a few moments she was spouting silvery spoke from between her lips.
"Best to keep out of his way until then," she said simply at Andrea's comment. She took another puff from her pipe then exhaled another gust of smoke. She looked like a fair-haired, very slender dragon.

((I'll have Alasdair as a crew member, then?))

Alasdair had barely given Barbossa a second glance when the older man began his rant. Sparrow had been bad enough, but with Barbossa ready to shoot the first man to cross him, Alasdiar knew it would be best to keep his head down. Coughing, he removed his tricorn and scratched at his wig subconciously, then pulled the weathered hat back on and struggled with the gun carriage he was pulling into place. While no one expected an attack from the East India Co. this early, Alasdair's instincts told him that enemies rarely attacked when suspected.

Grunting, he hauled on the line, cursing under his breath as he pulled the 12-pounder into place. "I could use some help, here!" He called to the group above him as he struggled to lash the gun in place.

[Yup, that's fine Tur ]

Barbossa raised an eyebrow, he was no stranger to harlotts and didn't pretend otherwise. "Ye can answer me questions for a start lass." He growled dangerously.

Andrea sent a slight glare to the girl, Marianne was it, and wrinkled her nose at the smoke. "Well he can't stay in there all day sulking." She answered sharply as Cameron rushed to help the struggling man. "I 'have half a mind to go in there right now and make him snap out of it."

Alasdair nodded in thanks as Cameron came down to help. "The next time I try to get a bloody gun to the ready, I'm taking a long nine." He said, jerking his head to one of the chase guns. "Bloody Naval twelves are too bloody heavy for their own bloody good. No wonder so many ships capsize." He gasped, tossing Cameron a line.

Marianne met Andrea's gaze evenly, unblinking. She blew one final spiral of smoke from her mouth then patted down the ashes in her pipe. She raised her eyebrows as if she found what Andrea had said interesting, but she did not necessarily think it was a good idea. She had experience of men with bad tempers; there had been plenty of them she had been forced to serve ale to in her pub in Tortuga. Barbossa, in his own way, was no different.

"If that's what you want to do." She shrugged.

She tucked her pipe back into her belt. Suddenly, she frowned. She could hear a raised voice coming from the captain's cabin. "Sounds as if someone's crossed him already."

Cameron caught the line and began to pull with Alasdair, observing his wig. "Your an ex naval officer aswell then I'm assuming?" he asked.

Andrea stopped too, listening carefully. She heard Barbossa's raised voice and sighed before marching off toward his cabin.
"Rhea leave it, I beg you!" Keeley called after her to no avail and was forced to watch her storm through the door without knocking, as she usually did.

Barbossa heard the door behind him burst open and knew istanly who it was. "Damnnit lass, what have I told ye about knocking?" He roared, spinning on his heel to findhimself face-to-face with Andrea, catching the look of suprise on her face. He watched as her eyes darted from the intruder, to him, then back to the intruder again, widening as she took in the dark haired girl's bloodied face. He saw a mix of emotions flash across her face; disbelief, anger, confussion and though he couldn't be sure he thought he saw the briefest look of hurt before it became a mask once again.

Alasdair pulled the line tight, nodding. "I was a Lieutenant in the Marines." He said simply, then tightened the sling of his musket and placing a ball on the nearby monkey, topping of the supply of missiles. "What about you?" He asked, propping himself up on the railing. The man, Cameron he had heard him called, didn't look much like officer material, but then, he was likely raised from the ranks like himself. That, and the Royal Marines wasn't the Royal Army.

Salma looked up when another member of the crew burst in the cabin. So much for privacy around here she thought wryly. To her surprise a woman had entered who was now staring at her without shame.
"You asked me what I was doing here.." she started in the hope that the woman stopped staring. "Well I was sick of it. Tortuga. That stinking place filled with drunk pirates. Men who think they own the world and everyone within it because they have a chest with stolen money and jewels. Men who think that they have power because they own a ship and a band of idiots as a crew. Men who want to have their way no matter what..."
The darkhaired girl's face had turned cold and her voice was filled with contempt.
She looked at the Captain and the woman again and smirked "No offense meant."

(Sure Will! And if it's okay with Aramel, Christine and Gibbs can be with Jack. I was thinking that Tortuga would be a good place to start them unless she has another idea, in which case, I'll totally fix my post)

Christine had woken up to a loud banging on her door, which was most unpleasant considering it wasn't even noon and she normally slept til five. Her nights and mornings had long ago been turned upside down. The redhead turned over and pulled her covers over her head trying to block out the unwanted pounding.

"Christine! Christine!" A male voice yelled over the normal din that drifted up from the tavern below.

The gangly woman blanched and sat up straight, immediately grabbing for a knife on her night stand. Where was Belinda? Didn't she see the drunkard on his way up? The woman was panicking now and had jumped out of her comfortable sheets to pull on real clothing. She had managed to pull on a pair of boots when the door caved in and she saw a winded looking Gibbs standing over the now ruined door.

He looked up at the woman and grinned sheepishly.

"Gibbs! What in the name of all that is good are you doing here?" She asked, now that she knew who it was she began pulling on the rest of her clothing.

"You sure you should be invoking the name of righteousness?" The older man teased and was rewarded with a sharp glare. "Jack's back. So's you best be getting dressed in something other than a bodice and skirts, lass. I expect he'll be needing help."

Christine frowned and stubbornly tightened her corset. "No. He can find his own help from someone else. Last time you two left me, remember?"

It was Gibbs who frowned now, "Wasn' our fault, Chrissy. We was awful drunk. But you done found your way back."

"No thanks to you! Luckily that I had John Gow about town to take me back," she shot back, wiggling on a set of pants which suggested that she would indeed be joining whatever escapade the man had presented.

Gibbs winced and made a face. Johnathon Gow was a hell of a pirate, but definitely not one he liked.

"Your coming then right?" He asked, directing questions away from her accusations.

"Yes, yes," Christine muttered. "I just need to tell Belinda first that I'm leaving."

"What for?" Gibbs asked

"So she can rent out the room while I'm away," she said like it was obvious, stuffing things into a small leather russack and setting a wide brimmed hat atop her head.

"Fine," Gibbs responded, helping her over the ruined remains of her door and down the stairs.

Christine told Belinda what was going on and as always the woman made her promise to write and let her know what all was happening. Christine agreed to the terms and then she and Gibbs were on their way to find Jack...wherever he was.

[woo you guys are quick...here come the fearsome foursome! Bios found here CLICK]

"I raise ye three medallions and an apple." Aurora pulled the apple from the table behind her and tossed it in the middle of the round table that was full of a variety of trinkets, jewels, and other notable items that any Pirate would long to have. The great green apple now topping it all, gleaming in the fire lit cabin.

"Really Aurora, an apple?" The youngest member of the crew stated as she hiked her feet onto the edge of the table and leaned back in the chair, her eyes remaining on the cards in her hand although her eyebrow raised knowing Aurora's actions without even looking. Loraline was just that perceptive even though she was only 15.

"As if ye don't want to win a juicy apple. How oft does Captain Barbossa let the crew have 'em? Savvy?" A-Rose said as if it was the simplest answer in the world while turning towards her left where an older pirate sat. His dark hair pulled back in a low ponytail, his face the perfect facade of poker.

"I fold." He muttered, tossing his cards to join the ever growing pile in the middle before leaning back in his own chair and crossing his arms over his chest. "I do not know why I play this confounded game. I never win."

"Because ye are a Pirate and are greedy" Loraline grinned as she raised the stakes a few more coins. That elegant brow arching again as if daring Aurora to up the ante.

Aurora tipped her tri-corner hat and was about to play the game when the door to the cabin burst open and in came a blond pirate who looked quite distraught. His hair in disarray, not that that wasn't natural for Elijah.

"The map be gone, by that I mean Jack stole the map and now the Captain is having a tizzy to which the Lady Andrea is not very pleased. The crew is getting antsy. Shall we join 'em." Eli's smile went from one of stress to one of joy.

Not even Aurora-Rose could understand his mood swings, and she was quite the eccentric character herself.

"But we be in the midst of an epic battle of wits and bravado." Aurora's arm gestured to the booty in the middle of the table and the cards in her hand. Her grand movements causing her Ace, five, two, and two Kings to be shown to the whole table.

"Aha, I knew ye had nothing!" Loraline tossed her full house and reached for the treasure, but not before Aurora could snatch the apple back and took a great bite from it.

"Ye cheated!" Aurora said between mouthfuls of the apple.

"Pirate" Loraline grinned before hopping out of her chair and following Elijah out of the cabin. Dante just shrugged and followed the other two leaving Aurora to gather up the 'winnings' before following the trio out the the upper deck.

Marianne watched as Andrea marched off towards the captain's cabin. His raised voice sounded furious. No doubt being interrupted would anger him further, but Andrea went straight through the door of the cabin, without knocking. Marianne cast a glance at Keeley and Cameron; though it was utterly blank of feeling, it was a look of apprehension and disbelief. A few moments later Barbossa's roar of enfuriation could be heard loud across the deck coming from his room.

That wasn't a good idea.

Turning her head, she saw Loraline, Elijah, Dante and lastly Aurora, munching on an apple, trooping up onto the deck. Apples were strangely hard to come by on this ship; the captain did love them so, and therefore wanted to eat them all himself. Briefly she wondered where Aurora had got the apple from.
She turned her head back towards the cabin again, amused by the triviality of her thoughts. If she listened hard enough she thought she could hear another voice in there; a woman's, and it did not belong to Andrea.

"If you ask me it sounds like the captain's got a woman in there." Her tone made it clear that the woman wasn't the one who had just marched into the cabin without introduction.

(Elly's on Tortuga right now, so perhaps she could meet up with Christine, Gibbs, & Co.? :P)

The peeling red door of the small bar slammed shut. A very mad, very disheveled Elly leaned against it for a moment in an effort to regain what remained of her composure. "That good-for-nothing scoundrel, I've right well had enough of him... yes indeed I have," she muttered under her breath before stalking fiercely into the street. "I've quite had enough of his likes. Calling me a saucy minx... after all I've done for him! Well he'll see just what a minx I can be..."

Her mind was quite made up by now. There was little left for her to do. Another sigh escaped her lips as she pushed back her tangled dark blonde curls. She'd find a ship, and get out of this horrid place. Perhaps she could sail around and find her mother's family, but she highly doubted they'd take someone like her in. In that case... well, something else would have to do. Like piracy. She hardly dared to think the word, but it gave her a thrill. Piracy. It very well may have to do.

Cameron nodded and smiled. "Lieutenant Commander on the Valiant out of Dover. Beautiful ship she was. Not as beautiful as my Keeley though." He stopped himself and looked down at the rope he was holding. "Well, atleast I hope she'll be mine one day."

___________________

Barbossa opened his mouth to speak, but was cut off mid-breath by Andrea, causing him to roll his eyes and cross his arms.
"So you decided to stoweaway on a pirate ship to get away from the drunken pirates?" She asked, Irish accent stronger with the higher pitch of her voice, then sighed. "Do you want me to take a look at that? Looks pretty nasty." She gestured to the blood and bruise on the girl's face, walking forward slightly.

___________________

Keeley sighed as she too heard another woman's voice. "This realy isn't the captain's day." She said with a sigh before noticing the four other pirates come above deck. "Aurora!" She called over. "I suppose Elijah has informed you of our current circumstance? As usual Rhea thinks she can sort it, she's in there now. Practically kicked the door down as usual. Turns out there's another woman in there, god help her.

[Panneth darling, mind if Keeley, Andrea and Cameron are really good friends with A-Rose and the others?]
