Not sure how many people are familiar with the series, but I guess a combination of some basic info and the fact this is set before the main series using just some of the main plot elements will allow anyone with an interest to join pretty much.

There are also the Nobodies, the shell left over when someone dies. They inhabit the plane inbetween, and are only created when someone of particularly strong will dies. They are sentient, more so than the Heartless, and though they have an agenda of their own, they are not inherently evil.
The Keyblades are magical weapons that have the power to unlock the hearts of worlds and the passages between them, and also the ability to banish Heartless. They chose their masters, of which there are three: The master of the Light, the master of the Dark, and the master of the Inbetween. There are many more wielders, but the three have a heightened responsibilty to keep order. |
The Keyblade War

The premise of this RP is to lead up the great battle. It will be quite character driven, and probably character central: the characters are all keyblade wielders. I would prefer if someone who knew the series played one of the keyblade masters, but if I'm the only one, then I'll be happy to let others go for it.
The nature of the RP means there will be travelling between worlds: whether or not Disney ones will be involved is as of yet unknown, but we'll see where we go. The main world is going to be one in the Realm of Light. I think if we all played protagonists, with perhaps a traitor as we get into it, it will work better.
Characters:
Before picking a character, have a look at the keyblade, and perhaps google the Kingdom Hearts Wikia to do some light research.  All of the characters will be clothed in a manga style appearance, and don armour soon enough.

Or look on deviant art (there are some great fan ones) or whatever, heck, draw your own. Bear in mind nothing that outclasses the main three, but feel free to give it attributes in whatever manor you see fit, be it speed, elemental magic specialisation, whatever.

When I first saw the title to this RPG I was like 'Yay, a SE rpg!' Then I read the story and was like 'TT.TT It's before my lovely Cloud's time' but then I started thinking... the only thing known about Cloud's father was that he's a deceased hero... but maybe he could have been a keyblade bearer who did in this war? He wouldn't be a master, though.
And if you need another master, I've played KH 1 & 2 but I'm more of a Final Fantasy fan than a KH fan, just to warn you, lol. |

W00t, nice to have you Tur. I was being really nostalgic about the game, like, but my PS2 is at home, so I was like ;_; , then I got inspired haha.

Eru it'd be cool for you to work Cloud's father into it as a keyblade bearer. Perhaps Fenrir would be a suitable Keyblade?

Appearance: 5'4", he's short for his age(22), but what he lacks in height, he makes up for in strength, though he doesn't look that muscular. He has blonde hair cropped short, and what hair he has tends to stick up and defy gravity. He also has blue eyes, and likes to wear blue alot.
Yeah, still don't have a first name. I will work on that and edit it in whenever I figure out what his name shall be. |

Still looks like the same one to me... besides, Fenrir is so far the only keyblade that's pindrop style key... or whatever you call it, lol.
Edit:
Do our characters have master forms? 'Cause I've found two keyblades that would also fit Mr. Strife. A fanmade Janova keyblade and the metal chocobo keyblade(which to me looks like it's based off the original Final Fantasy VII bustersword). |
