I read about the new young lady, too. I wouldn't worry just yet, though. The last thing I read was she's going to play a new dancer and possibly Eric's lover, so until I read somewhere else that it's confirmed she's going to be both, I'll reserve judgment :]. What I will say though is if Alan Ball & company decide to throw that whole subplot out, I'll be a very, very unhappy camper B[. Deciding to spare Lafayette, making Tara more of a main character, giving us more background about Sam, and other big changes are fine with me, but doing that is way too much of a change B/! Hopefully, Alan Ball will rein in his affection for the Sookie/Bill love story at some point :/.

Yvetta boinking Eric doesn't bother me at all. I'm not a huge Eric/Sookie shipper anyways. But I'm pretty sure Alan will retain that triangle and delve further into it in Season 4 - he pretty much HAS too seeing as that's what that book is about lol

Besides Book/Season 3 Sookie has her hands full with someone else besides Bill >_>

Ish very grumpy because I can't find any decent sites where I can watch episode 5, season 2 Never Let Me Go which I missed last week. It seems like the episodes has been removed on the site I've used earlier. And I really just want to watch online, not download.

So both Sam and Sookie met other like-minded people and Sookie is more annoying than ever in her girlpower-trip. Seriously, the dialogue between Sookie and Bill are so poorly written and badly acted it physically hurts!!

But man, I love Jessica "You won't let me order off the menu?! Watch me getting a freaking eating disorder!" *slams the door*

I don't think it's worth putting a spoiler warning since I appear to be the last person on earth to watch the show...

But I need to say that not only Jessica is genius, the entire season two is pure win!! MaryAnn enchanting the whole town and her mysterious relations to Tara and Sam, Sookie and Bill going off to find Godric.. the scenes with Bill's dark vampire past and Jason and The Fellowship of the Sun... pure looove!!!!

LoL yeah I think you are, Eä. I saw the last episode of Season 2 back in September.

Season 2 was fantastic. It was just a pretty huge deviation from the book. The only thing mainly intact from the book was that they went to Dallas in search of Godric. But anything else from who Godric was to the character of Maryann is different in the show.

Hmm... in the last episode I watched MaryAnn killed shapeshifter girl whatwashername... Daphne.. I like how the script writers seem to have this strange need to carelessly dispose of the minor characters once they've played their part.. suits the tone of the show!!
So we're drawing nearer to the season two finale and so I might not feel so alone in my ignorance any more! Season three hasn't been released yet, right? Or has it..?

And the plot development and the many sub-plots do help somewhat on my Sookie-loathing... I have to admit she's a mood-killer for me.. it's like everything is moving forward and developing except for her character. She's exactly as annoying as she were in season one... but back then it was sorta ok because they were building the characters.

I didn't read the books but what do you book-readers say to the changes? It's for the better?

Season 3 premiers on June 13th in the US. Cannot wait.

I'm not going to say any changes were for the 'better' because I think the books are perfect just the way they are. BUT, some of the changes I really loved like of course the addition of Jessica (she doesn't exist in the books), Lafayette's survival, Jessica's and Hoyt's relationship (YAY), Godric's and Eric's relationship among other things.

I have a kind of love/hate relationship with Maryann. I LOVE the character but hated the storyline. It bored me to death. Maryann only appears in the book very briefly (and she's not even Maryann there).

I treat the series and the books as two entirely seperate entities.

Alan Ball has been very clear from the beginning that he has to expand on things that may not have appeared in the books, as there only from Sookie's POV. So when she's off galavanting, what are the rest of Bon Temps up to? The world doesn't stop when Sookie's not around lol.

I've been fine with the changes all in. I enjoyed the Maenad storyline for the most part, mostly due to Michelle Forbes being all kinds of epic win. Doesn't hurt I've had a crush on her since she was in Star Trek: TNG

But it was an interesting twist [even if it had implications that Paganism was wrong] and it gave something for Sam to do besides mope about Sookie. One of my fave lines of the entire second season was from Sam to Sookie.

"I'm sick of charring my @ss on your back burner" or words to that effect. I was all YAY SAM! <3
That being said...I didn't like Daphne one bit and had suspicions of her motivations right from the word go. She was way too good to be true.

Godric's change was a little disapointing, I admit. But it was made up for in the relationship he had with Eric.
