Doing her best to squeeze the area around the wound as much as possible, Calista could quickly feel her muscles begin to tire and she just about cursed falling ill now. Gareth, my love, I pray you can find the herb quickly. I am not sure how much venom is already in this man's system. It may already been too late for this method to work, she thought to herself.
A sudden gurgling from Darius drew her attention to the man lying on the bed. Realizing with a start that he was choking on his vomit, Calista gave a small gasp of fear and quickly stopped what she was doing. Moving to his other side as fast as possible she tried to turn him on his side, but his body with dead weight and she was still weak from her own illness. "Rosalina, help!" she cried, already growing a bit breathless after only managing to move him just a little.

rosalina didn't say anything, she nodded and moved him onto his sid, getting on the bed to hold him there.

Letting her grip go to let Rosalina hold Darius in place, Calista just tried to catch her breath as she gazed on with worry and grew more and more frustrated with her own physical weakness.

As Darius was moved onto his side, globs of bile and vomit flecked with blood sputtered from his lips and onto the ground. Seeing the blood, Calista's face grew pale as she knew that the poison had already gotten into his system and now they may only have hours to try and save him.

Rosalina paled and whimpered as she saw the blood. THough he was on his side, Rosalina took his hand, and stroked his damp hair.

Putting a comforting hand on Rosalina's shoulder, Calista did not know what she could do to comfort her friend or help Darius. "Gareth will find the herb in time," she said softly. "Have faith in that," she whispered. Slowly climbing off the bed, Calista walked a bit unsteadily to the well as she drew a bucket of water. Walking wearily back into the room, she set the bucket on the side before dipping a cloth in it. After making her way back to Darius' bed side, she lightly dabbed at his forehead and face with the wet cloth to hopefully cool his hot skin.

As Darius continued to vomit more blood became mixed with the bile as a trickle of blood also began to flow from his nose. Biting her lip to try to conceal her growing concern over his steadily worsening condition, Calista took another cloth and gently wiped away the blood, praying that Gareth would return soon. If not, she was going to try and search the surrounding forest for any herb that might be able to help Darius temporarily.

Rosalina cringed as more and more vomit and blood came out,. His body lurching as he vomited. "Gareth will return soon, right?" she asked in a small voice as she looked to Calista. If she lost Darius, Rosalina knew she would not be able to handle it.

Giving Rosalina a small smile, Calista tried to be as encouraging as possible. "Gareth has never failed me yet. He will search the ends of the earth if he must to find that herb. It will be all right," she whispered as she paused her ministrations to Darius to give her friend a comforting hug.

A moan from the man turned Calista's attention back toward Darius and before she could react his legs, body and arms began to twist and jerk violently as vomit built up in his mouth and lungs. "What on earth!" Calista exclaimed as all of her composure vanished in an instant and a look of shock and fear glimmered in her blue eyes.

"No!" Rosalina cried out as Darius started to seize. She tried to hold him still, tears now pouring from her eyes as she held his body.

"What's going on?" Calista asked horrified as she tried to help Rosalina hold Darius still as his body convulsed wildly. "The bile is getting lodged in his throat," she whispered weakly as sharp gasps began to come from the man's throat. "Hold on," Calista whispered to Darius helplessly, wishing there was something that she could do to stop his violent convulsions. "Gareth, please find the herb soon," she muttered to herself. "Darius needs it..." she murmured, as a sickening feeling starting to form in the pit of her stomach.

"What?" Calista whispered, her face growing all the more pale. "Then how can a seizure be stopped?" she whispered, not remembering anything about her own seizures. In all honesty, that period of time was a complete blank to her. Glancing back down at Darius as he tried to breathe, Calista felt her worry for him only grow as the moments ticked by and he still continued to convulse violently. "There must be something that we can do," she whispered, hating how powerless she felt now. She refused to let it end like this. There had to be something that they could try.

Rosalina shook her head. "The only thing that helped was cold clothes. But your seizure was from a fever." She said, how could she be talking so calmly while her heart screamed out for Darius.

Biting her lip until it bled, Calista fell silent, not knowing what to do. A part of her wished that Gareth were here to give her some sort of guidance and comfort but he couldn't---not if he was searching for the needed herb. Noticing more blood coming from Darius' nose, Calista took a cloth and gently wiped it away. Feeling tears fill her eyes as a blue color tinted Darius' skin, she instantly blinked them away, knowing that she needed to be strong for her friends.

After about five minutes passed, Darius' convulsions stopped, but Calista did not have time to draw in a breath of relief as Darius coughed up more blood and vomit.

Hearing Rosalina's heartfelt plea, Calista felt her heart break even more, fearful that the man was just going to bled to death if Gareth did not return soon. When Darius finally stopped vomiting, Calista gently turned Darius so that he was once again lying on his back. Climbing slowly from the bed, she searched through the drawers for a clean cloth. Upon finding one, she rinsed it in the water before gently wiping his lips and cleaning out his mouth.
Sighing softly as she sat down on the bed again, Calista felt utterly dejected and exhausted. Gareth, please hurry back, she silently prayed as she closed her eyes for a brief moment.

Hearing a wheezing coming from Darius, Calista's eyes snapped open as she turned her attention back to him, fearing that he was having a bronchospasm.

Rosalina moved and sat beside him holding Darius's hand. She stiffened as she herd the wheezing, but didn't move, she didn't want to see what his face could look like.
