"Don't think like that yet, my love," Darius remarked as he grabbed a rag and after dipping it in water, placed the cloth on her clammy forehead. "Right now, let us just hope and pray for the best. It may be all that any of us can do."

Moaning softly, a frown crossed her face as Calista began to toss and turn. "No...Julius...please...cut back on my food instead...not my sister's" Calista murmured in her delirium. "No...don't hurt the servants...." she begged imagining that she was still with the man that made her wish she were dead.

Shaking his head, Darius reapplied the cloth to her forehead. "Her fever is making her delirious," he remarked softly.

"Julius...no..I'm sorry...please...don't..." Calista murmured as a soft groan escaped from her lips. As she continued to twist and turn violently, the cloth slipped from Calista's forehead again.

Picking up the cloth again, Darius just dabbed Calista's face with it. Meanwhile, Calista still continued to toss on the bed, her breathing becoming shallow as a sense of dread and panic filled her. "Julius...please...stop..." she mumbled, her eyes still closed, as she lay unaware that Rosalina was by her side and holding her hand.

"All right," Darius remarked as he stopped dabbing Calista's face and handed Rosalina the cloth. The woman still continued to toss and turn, caught in a nightmarish world where she saw Julius everywhere. A world where his hands always reached out for her, hit her, grabbed her and strangled her, no matter how hard she tried to flee him.

Moaning again, Calista's lashes slowly started to flutter. "Ro....?" she whispered weakly as she finally managed to open her eyes a little. Glancing around again, she found herself in the same room where she had first awoken---and Julius was nowhere near her. "Go and spend some time with Darius..." she whispered as she stared up at Rosalina with dull glazed eyes. "Don't...worry about...me..." she added faintly as her blue eyes began to roll and her lashes started to flutter again.

Hearing her sister cry out, Calista glanced over at Rosalina, although her image kept blurring in and out of focus. "Yes, Ro...?" she whispered, her voice sounding weak and thin. She just felt so tired and wanted nothing more than to sleep...even if it was an eternal sleep.

Sighing softly, Calista just gave her younger sister a wan smile. "Ro, I am just so tired..." she whispered, feeling her eyelids grow heavy and start to droop. "Don't worry...if something happens to me...you still...have...Darius..." she whispered before breaking out into a coughing fit and then started to wheeze again as she struggle to inhale and exhale breath.

Calista's wheezing grew more severe as the asthma attack continued and a sheen of sweat covered her face. Feeling a pain in her chest, Calista inadvertently placed her hand over it as she struggled to breathe. A cold fear began to seep through her body then as her harsh gasping began to echo in the silent room.

Looking up when Rosalina came to fetch him, Darius could only frown at her words. He had very little dealing with asthma and was not too sure the right herb for it. "I don't know what the best herbs are to treat that. At best I can only guess..." he began hesitantly.
