Darius continued to kiss Rosalina for as long as he could before he had to stop to catch his breath, although he wished that he could kiss her some more.

Calista just remained limp at Gareth's kiss. If it were not for the slight rise and fall of her chest as she drew in shallow breaths, one would have taken her for dead.

Feeling himself at perfect peace with Rosalina next to him, Darius allowed himself to drift off to sleep.

As the muscles in her throat began to spasm, Calista suddenly let out a high moan. "Calista!!!" Gareth shouted, alarm in his voice as her breathing took a turn for the worse.

Feeling Rosalina shift, Darius adjusted his arms as he pulled her closer to him, smiling as he remained asleep.

"CALISTA, love!!!" Gareth yelled as he lightly tapped her cheek to try and rouse her. As her breathing only worsened, Gareth put his hand at her neck and felt the tightening of the muscles. "No..." Gareth whispered as gently laid the woman down on the bed and quickly kindled a fire before searching frantically for a cloth.

Finally finding a cloth, Gareth warmed it over a fire before placing the rag on Calista's neck, praying that it would relax her muscles so that she could breathe.
