Gently rubbing her back, Darius placed a tender kiss to her forehead. "Ro, I...just want you to be all right," he muttered. "What if by hiding your coughing...it...becomes worse?" he added. "Or what...happens if you...sneak out again...and something happens? I will...never...forgive myself..." he muttered.

"Ro!" Darius tried shouting although he figured that she could not hear him. Forcing himself to a sitting position, Darius managed to stagger out of bed, needing to grip the table in the room for support.

Slowly moving from the room, Darius stumbled into the hallway and then finally out the door as he searched for his beloved. "Ro?" he called out to her. "Love, what are you doing?" he asked when he finally spotted her.
