Looking into her mouth, Gareth merely examined her throat and frowned at what he saw.

Calista meanwhile finished chopping the root and poured water into another pot before and set it on to boil, gasping for breath as she did so. "What do you think?" she asked called out to Gareth, sounding a bit breathless. His frown deepening, Gareth walked over to Calista and taking her hand, he had her sit down on a chair away from the table and medicinal supplies. "I thought I told you to take it easy," he admonished her lightl. "Rose, one of these days, you are going to work yourself so hard that you are going to kill over and we won't be able to bring you back," he added, worry in his voice.
"Gareth, love, I'm fine," Calista remarked softly. "But tell me, what did you see."
Sighing, Gareth glanced at both women before speaking. "Rosalina, your throat is raw, but it does not look like something caused from an infection, he remarked.
"What do you mean?" Calista asked. "So do you think that a backflow of sorts is causing this?" she asked, speaking the first thing that came to her mind.

"It appears that way," Gareth remarked to Calista before glancing at Rosalina and he gave the woman a small smile. "The good news is that if we can figure out what the backflow is and treat it, then you shouldn't cough any more."
"So how do you want to go about doing that?" Calista asked. "Trial and error?"
"Unless anyone can hazzard a guess on what they think it is?" Gareth remarked as he glanced over at both women.

"I am not too sure either," Calista replied softly. "Maybe I can ask the village healer," she added quietly. "Although I do remember him telling me a few years ago when I assisted for a short time that stomach acid can backflow into a person's throat," she added as she glanced over at both Rosalina and Gareth.

"No, you need to rest," Gareth told her sternly, causing Calista to sigh in frustration as Gareth walked over to the pot set over the fireplace to check on how the brew for Darius was coming.

"I am going to give this brew to Darius," Gareth remarked as he scooped some of the liquid into a cup. "And then I will try and see if I can find some herbs to help your cough, Rosalina," he added. "And while I am away, I want you to take it easy," Gareth told Calista sternly. "I don't want to have to restrain you to a bed with my magic but if you will not rest, believe me when I say that I will."
