Sighing softly, Calista's lashes continued to flutter rapidly until she was able to open her eyes slightly. Looking up at Gareth, she just stared at him blankly; her eyes glazed over as if she could not see that he was there.

Calista closed her eyes for a brief moment and sighed softly as Gareth continued to wipe her face with the cloth. The cool rag felt good on her pale and burning skin. Opening her eyes again after a few moments, Calista just gave him a weak smile. "Hi," she managed to croak out before coughing lightly again.

Calista gave Gareth a weak smile as he tried to sooth her. Her husband had never done any of that sort before. Once she had fallen so gravely ill and her fever had been so high that she could not even will her body to move from the bed. As punishment for such presumed laziness, he just slapped her and scolded her for not finishing the mending. To appease him, she tried to mend while sitting in bed, pushing her body so hard that she overtaxed her strength and slipped into a coma for four days...one that her husband tried to beat her out of and she had only been saved from death by the intervention of some of the servants. "T-thank you..." she mumbled weakly to Gareth, appreciating his efforts in tending her.

Calista gave Gareth a wan smile as she weakly nodded before she closed her eyes again for a few minutes. When she had the strength to open them again, she just gave the mage another gentle smile. "I-I appreciate...everything...you have...done for me..." she murmured weakly.

Calista weakly returned Gareth's kiss, the best that her waning strengthed allowed at the moment. After they parted, Calista gazed up at Gareth with love in her eyes. "I...I saw her..." she murmured. "I...saw...Catalina..." Calista whispered. "I-I...t-talked...with...her...S-she...is...an...amazing...woman..." she added, her voice soft.
