Johnny's Fan wrote: So I'm basically about 5 hours later than Central time according to my time zones converter. In that case, the only time that sort of works for all five of us is 8pm Central Time on Saturday. If you (JF) are 5 hrs after, then that's 1am, which is the closest to midnight we can get since most of us are in North America and can't meet much earlier. (This is all according to my time conversion calculations, which might be off because I just woke up . . . ). I don't know your schedule, but hopefully 1am isn't too late to stay up. I wish there was an alternative, but nothing else seems to work! So, to everyone in the coding team: let's meet in the AU Chatroom on Saturday 8pm Central Time. Yay or nay?

Hey Elbe! I am 90% sure I won't be able to make this, but I'll do my best anyway. My schedule's just too unpredictable, so yeah. Is there anything I'd be specifically required for that I can just give my input about now? I can be on MSN on my phone at that time if someone wants to message back/forth for me during this chat.

No worries, I know we all have unpredictable schedules. We'll let you know what goes on. As for now, maybe you can answer any of these questions for now: - What's your experience with web design/development?
- Any new ideas you had for the site (in terms of structure or nav or whatever) that haven't been mentioned?
- Anything you particularly want to do yourself in terms of the site renovation?
We'll keep your input in mind during the chat.

When reading this it sounded like you are going to change the colour scheme, maybe, but I might not be alone in saying it is easy to read for someone like me, (i can do basic ict but i leave it to other people to help,) but if you do change thing think of the dyslexic people, as i cannot read blackboards a school, so i do find it difficult sometimes to read, just a thought! Sorry to barge in.

^ The color scheme we are talking about is green I think, with maybe some blue accents if I have understood things correctly.
It's going to be just like it is now (at least relatively), just green instead of the blue.

Greetings, LadyLónannûniel! I'm not sure what you mean, when you say that it's not easy to read for you? Are darker backgrounds more difficult for you to read than lighter ones? Because like Eru said, it's basically going to be exactly like this, just with a new header and the blue will be replaced, probably by a fairly dark shade of green.

The time given in the PM works well for me! I will see you all then - hopefully. I have never used A-U Chat, so I might need some info on how to get there.

It is dark background with light text, it differs for people like me! thank you

instead of choosing one colour theme, why not do a few and mkke aviable for changing? I mean so that each user can have the theme they want. Just a thought and I'm up for making graphics if you like, just tell me what and I'll make. I don't do codings or layouts tho

I've been lobbying for interchangeable forum skins Alma, so hopefully that is something that we can achieve, though we'll probably start with one and fill up with more later (since it does take a lot of time even skinning just one layout).
JF is already working on the new header but there might be other stuff that needs doing.

ah yes, tottally, start with ONE then add others as they're made, but is good to at least have that option, especially like...one light skin and one dark..cuz people have problems with light (like me) and others prefer it over the dark skins.

Mmmk, I'm not exactly sure when I'll be back tonight, so I thought while I had the time I'd answer these, just in case. I'm going to really try to make it back in time, but things may not happen ideally. * What's your experience with web design/development? I've coded my own web site and know the basics of things. Not really too much more complicated than that, though. * Any new ideas you had for the site (in terms of structure or nav or whatever) that haven't been mentioned? Mm, don't think so. I know somewhere way back there we discussed what the new navigation was, and I think that was all good. Don't remember where exactly this was mentioned, but getting the site under CSS would make things a whole lot easier. * Anything you particularly want to do yourself in terms of the site renovation? I'd like to be doing the revamping of the pages. Like, taking all the new stuff that we've been changing and replacing what was there. So, less work with layout/coding and more of just page by page stuff.
