As Gareth laid her down on the bed, Calista turned her face away again as she started to cough up more blood into her hand.

Approaching the bed, James gently placed on a hand on her forehead and winced at the heat emitting from her skin. Racing to the outside well, he drew a fresh bucket of water and grabbed a clean cloth. Dipping the cloth in the water, he handed the rag to Gareth. "Try to keep her as cool as possible. We need to bring her fever down," the healer told him quickly. "I am going to mix a broth and some elixirs for her," he added as the woman continued to tremble on the bed.

Calista sighed softly as Gareth wet her skin with the damp cloth, the water's coolness soothing on her burning skin. Covering her mouth again, Calista just continued to cough violently, blood splattering on her hand as she did so.

James just winced as he heard the woman cough and hurridly continued to make a few elixirs for her.

Calista just groaned as she continued to cough, her breathing becoming more and more labored.

James just continued to work the exlixirs.

With one of the elixirs in hand, James rushed to Calista's beside. He could feel Gareth's eyes on him as leaned over the woman and gently lifted her head. "My lady, I need you to try and drink this," he told her gently as he poured a little of the elixir in her mouth. Yet as he poured the exlir down her throat, Calista started to cough again, causing her to choke.

James gently sat the woman up and Calista leaned forward as she vomited up the elixir before coughing hard again, blood spattering on the bed cover as she did so.

James sighed. "Unless she is able to take these elixirs and herbs orally there is very little I can do..." he remarked sadly as Calista still continued to cough, her breathing growing ragged.

Calista just groaned as she nodded weakly, her breathing becoming all the more strained as she slumped on her side.
